    I would think that sales have been to good for Weber to discontinue, but my guess would be that a Hdw chain such as Ace, True Value, etc may have decided to discontinue.

    Apple Pie. Bought a frozen Marie Calendar (spelling?) apple pie with crumb crust, and put it in the smoker with butter on top. Don't remember how long, but until "it looked right". Then served with vanilla ice cream Outstanding. Thinking of trying it with cheese and/or bacon.

    High Temps with new clay saucer

    IMHO, the larger saucer should not make the temp rise. A clay heat sink does not generate heat or raise the temp, it should just help stabilize the temp. I would say a hot sum could contribute more. Also, is it possible that there is an air leak somewhere?
