    Tri tip BBQ?

I love tritip I cook at least one a week. What Cliff said is spot on. The best part is if you cook the fat end to med rare the thin tip will be med well for those that like their meat cooked little more.

    Men who can't grill?

This is a great thread - old, but great. I've had a Weber kettle in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in the 70's we had a red Weber kettle that my dad would burn all the food on. It wasn't that he was a bad cook, he would just get to talking and not pay attention the food. My...

    Thai-Style Hung Chicken (Gai Yang)

Great job! I love to hang the meat while smoking/cooking. I dont know why but the taste and texture always seems different. Very impressive.

    Ranch Kettle maybe overkill but...

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I really do love using the RK and I will be using it a lot more now that its back in the stable. Rich, my wife thought I was crazy for buying this and couldn't even understand where I would keep it since it so big. Having so much real estate to cook with...

First cook on my new Ranch Kettle.

It really looks like it was a blast of a cook. I've lost so much arm hair using my RK, I'm surprised it still grows back. Personally, I would have begun with two lit chimneys of kbb spread over half the grill. Then started another one on the side to add later and maybe started a second chimney...

    Ranch Kettle maybe overkill but...

It sure is fun to have all that space. I loaned my RK to a friend for Super Bowl and just got it back last weekend. I was all set to use my performer when I remembered I saw a few posts of people using their RK's and wanted to use mine again. Even though I was only cooking a tri-tip for my...

First cook on my new Ranch Kettle.

congrats on your first cook. The RK is a beast and I'm sure with as much KBB you had in there it was a fire breathing dragon. :ranchkettle: Like others have said I usually only use one maybe two chimneys for my RK cooks. Either way, great cook! Looks like it would have been a lot fun. Cant wait...

Am happy to be the newest member of the Ranch Kettle Owner's Club

Great deal! Welcome to the club. I love my ranch kettle. When I first got it my 8 year old daughter wanted lunch and I wanted to use my new grill. So, I cooked her a couple of hot dogs on it. It was pretty comical with all that real estate to cook on and there sat two little hot dogs...

A few photos from first dance with the KettlePizza

I put down about 3/4's of a chimney of unlit kbb and then add a full chimney of lit kbb then toss in 2 or 3 small splits of wood then put the KP and stone and steel on top. i let it heat up for 15 or 20 minutes then start cooking. When temps begin to fall I'll throw in another split or two, no...

A few photos from first dance with the KettlePizza

Hey Matt, congrats on the KP purchase. I have a pizza stone that did not come with the KP and its about 3/4 inch thick so I heat it up for a good 20 minutes or so. These things burn a lot of fuel so you will have to find a good balance of preheat time and cook time. The KP also takes some...

Thanks Kevin. That is a nice paella pan and cheaper than I thought it would be. Now, I have to figure out how to tell the wife we have to find room for this thing :D

    Ranch Kettles Cruise Ship Style

Thanks for sharing. The Ranch Kettle is great! I was lucky enough to pick one up off CL a few months back and I absolutely love it! I wonder where you can get a paella pan that big and if I was able to find one where would I store it?
