No way will a loin be good for PP. Not without adding a lot of crap to where you might have well just used a butt in the first place. They are very good for cooking whole and slicing. IMHO.

As long as it doesn't stay in the freezer too long and get freezer burned. Previously frozen meat seems to cook quicker.

That explains it. I'm getting "low," about 60-lbs left of the "old" formula. :kingsford: Knowing this makes it exciting to see how the new stuff performs. Those 40-lb packs where hard on the old back anyways! Now before anyones says 40-lbs isn't that heavy. No it's not, but when you buy a truck...

I was at HD today and saw the Kingsford Original twin packs are now 2 18.6-lb bags instead of 2 20-lb. I also just checked Lowes online and see they are starting to carry the same twin 18.6-lb packs. The price was the same, so they are cost more per pound now. :eek:

Looks fantastic. I found I get a better smoke ring fat cap up or the fat absorbs it. So I think that's why. I'm no expert.
