    i wasnt going to post but the wife took some pictures because they looked good she said. used the flavorizer bars off the gasser to keep them suspended off the grate. Nothing fancy like most of you expert cooks but, you guys keep inspiring me to keep trying. anyhow enjoy. [/IMG]

    1st "jet engine" steak.

    @ Brad, yes it was rare. but I grilled one for my wife and then just had a cast iron pan on the gas grill that i put it in for a few more minutes for her liking. did a flank steak and roasted a bunch of peppers tonight same method. One of the best I have ever had.

    Temp Control Problem

    Did a turkey last Friday, I did 3 full lit chimneys 2 of lump and 1 of kb. Temp was at 320 but as quick as that 12 lb bird in it dropped to 280. Opened the door and let it get to 320 again but that baby never climbed above 317 and I had a digiQ blowing on it. Bird still cooked in 3 hrs 20 min...

    doing a 12lb apple brine as we speak. I ran a test run yesterday just to see if I could get temp up. I was able to. realized what a heat sink a turkey is. even with a digiq 1 1/2 chimney of charcoal and 2 chimneys of lump, It took 40 min to get it up into the 330 area... the digiq is workin hard...

    what are your thoughts on Stubbs lump? I found 1 bag at lowes but I heard somewhere that Cowboy actually makes Stubbs lump also. Is that correct?
