Its 3/4" aluminum flat stock from Lowes. It fits the handles really snug so you have to file it down just a tad at upper edges so lower part of the handles snaps onto them snugly. Not hard to do. I did the ones on my other smoker bending it by hand. This time I used at vise and it went a little...
