    Its easy to do and with the cooler weather in NY it makes it easier to keep temps down. Used to live in Fairport/Rochester NY area myself. We just wont tell the Drs I guess :)

    Did another batch of cracked pepper and spice bacon last week and just pulled these off the smoker a few minutes ago. Maple flavored and smoked with peach wood this time. Should make for some really good bacon slices this time. Also went this am and picked up some nice pork bellies finally...

    What made you not like it any better than your old way? It looks like it would have some flavor with the dry mixes added I usually do ours with a mix of cream of mushroom soup and mix it with some red wine for a light sauce. Add carrots and potatoes and some onion slices and stew away. Yours...

    I make these all the time for my kids. I got tired of twisting them all the time and now make rods and nuggets..LOL. I use a knock off Aunt Annie's pretzel recipe and they are pretty good. If you dont put butter and salt or egg wash and salt on top you can freeze them and then reheat and top...

    Wide aluminum foil

    Cost wise it may be cheaper in the end to just buy a 500ft x 18" roll and use more sheets. The 24" versions although nicer to use in one sheet is much more $$. I get mine at Costco and for 500ft x 18" 624 foil its only $22.00 which is fairly cheap.

    Ate a bunch of it today for breakfast and the rest gets packaged and vacuum sealed into smaller packages in the freezer. It probably wont last long but this batch was a little bigger than the 1st one. Will be smoking the Maple ones curing right now in a few days so my supply will last longer :)...
