    What's wring with this picture?

I like the looks of the new Corvette, except for the tail lights that they borrowed from the Camaro assembly line. As far as using the handicap stall, I don't think we can judge the person's need for using or not using the stall just because they drive a Corvette. What kind of vehicle should...

    What's wring with this picture?

Guess I don't understand the question, people that need a little help can't ride in or drive a Corvette?

    Test Run?

We did a 14lb bird on our 26.75" kettle 2 weekends ago as a practice run for Thanksgiving. Bird turned out well, I'm glad I did a practice bird. It took about 2 hours longer to do than I thought it would because the bird wasn't thawed out completely before we started ( I had to move the cook up...

Solution of Wobbly Legs on the 26

Another good tip! Thanks Stu, as soon as I get the parts already ordered- which looks like it will be Thursday this week- I'll start rounding up the rest of what I need. I'm thinking tables and some end caps. I noticed the end caps are not inexpensive on the website I ordered the frame from...

Solution of Wobbly Legs on the 26

Thought I'd revive this thread. I just ordered the parts for this mod on my 26.75! This will make a fun winter project for me. I'm going to try to add side tables to mine. Only thing I couldn't get right off the bat is the front castor wheels, according to the website I ordered from they are...

Kettle smoked Turkey, anyone have done it?

Using the lid thermometer I kept it in the 375-400 range. For whatever reason I haven't been able to keep the temperature locked in on my 26.75 like I do with my 18.5 WSM. So I check it often and adjust the vents as needed. I loaded the charcoal onto one side of the grill, chimney started a half...

Kettle smoked Turkey, anyone have done it?

We just smoked a 14lb bird last weekend on our 26.75 Weber and it was very tasty indeed! We used the turkey recipe out of the Weber Smoke cookbook and are looking forward to doing another for Thanksgiving, this was a test run for us as we've never done a turkey before on a grill and I didn't...

    New 26.75 inch kettle $175

We love our 26.75 Weber, just did a turkey on it last weekend. I think the 26.75 is the best size of kettle to get, just wish they made a "performer" version of it. That's a really good price, if I didn't already have one I'd be chasing that one!

Pork butt on sale, waste of time to freeze?

My wife says she uses "Food Saver" brand bags and they state their bags are made to be safe putting in boiling water, and will not melt. We've never had any problem reheating our frozen pulled pork this way.

    Here I go again

We bought our Genesis about 20 years ago and it's still going strong. These things are built like a tank with a few easily replaceable parts! Our Genesis will without doubt outlive us! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of yours after restoring it.

Can you explain why I need at WSM?

The WSMs are so easy to use, that's why you want one, I set ours' up at night before going to bed and wake up to really good smoked meat with very little effort. As for what size to get, I really don't think that if you've gotten along fine without a WSM and have just used a performer up to...

Pork butt on sale, waste of time to freeze?

We freeze butts before and after cooking. Whenever we see a good sale we pick up a couple and freeze, then when our supply of smoked pork gets low we thaw out 4, smoke them, then vacuum pack them in smaller packages and freeze again. We then take the packages out of the freezer as needed and put...

Temp too low on my 18.5

Could be you don't need the water with all the meat, or maybe your charcoal is damp? I've read that charcoal will not put out as much heat if it is damp as it will if dry. I've done 4 large pork butts (over 40lbs of pork) at the same time now a few times on my 18.5 WSM and don't have any...

    Wind shield

I think you'll find that cold weather won't really bother your WSM, but windy weather will! I use my WSM more in below freezing weather than I do above freezing weather with no problems controlling the heat and no excessive use of charcoal, but wind is a whole different animal. I ended up...

    Snowmobilers Beware!

Actually they shouldn't have snowmobiles! They obviously don't have common sense knowledge in the use of them in the wild.
