    Error E7 motor failure.

A little over 2 years. Still has a little bit of warranty left. I also have a failure on the number one thermometer input. So I want to cover that also while it's still under warranty. I know it's just the number one thermometer input because I can take that same thermometer and put it in two...

    Error E7 motor failure.

Well it finally happened. About $200 worth of meat and a ton of corn to cook For my stepdad his guests plus family for his birthday. Go out to start the EX6. The workhorse because of so much space. So no worries until I go to start it. And I get motor failure error! I went through the basic...

Almost 3 years later and it looks like people are figuring out what this thread is for 👍. You know anything that doesn't deserve its own thread or just a thought that you have or something that you did you wanted to mention or whatever. Anyhow, my son wanted to catch dinner. Since it was his...

    Costco pellets.

Perhaps it's just me, but I really don't know if it's that much flavor difference between the pellet blends. Unless I'm doing fish or something very delicate like that. So I go with the big bag for less money and get the same results. Also, Larry, I've used Sam's pellets too and they're just as...

    Costco pellets.

Yeah, I think anybody charging a dollar a pound for pellets is asking way too much. I did use the Weber pellets when I first got the smoke fire because they were selling them alongside of it when I bought it. They were good, but I noticed no performance difference with several different brands...

    Weber Connect 2.0

I noticed that the probes were extremely responsive to temperature changes. But the pit temp not so much. I was just testing it out and I opened and closed the hood a few times. The probes picked it up and I watched them drop and rise almost instantly. The pit temp stayed solid. I also moved the...

    Costco pellets.

Just throwing it out there that I was at Costco today and found their 40 lb bag of Kirkland pellets for $12. I grabbed two of them. For anybody still on the fence, I've already ran about 80 lb of those pellets through the smoke fire with no issue.

    Weber Connect 2.0

I did a quick cook yesterday. Really liking what I see so far. Now I'm looking forward to a longer smoke so I can really test it out.

    Anybody grilling?

somehow I didn't get a picture of it while it was on the grill I guess. Or my phone just doesn't want to show it to me now. But I had the same exact setup with potatoes under the chicken getting drippings while cooking. Except I did two birds 🤤😎.

Haven't had much time to try and stay caught up. Been working 9 or 10 hour days for the last 6 months. Weekends are spent running errands and usually a barbecue gets thrown in. Hopefully everyone here is doing good. As for me. Well, I suppose I'm quarantined until at least Friday. Yep, I got it...

    Anybody grilling?

For this afternoon, pork tenderloin and turkey breast. Along with scalloped potatoes and cheesy veggies not pictured. And testing probes again. I really like what the wireless meter probes offer, but it seems they need to fix something in their software. And I haven't found a better...

    Anybody grilling?

Going to be pulled pork. Also testing the meter thermometers and cooking programs against the Weber products and cooking program. I really do like the meter since it's wireless and I've already rotisserie with it once. But I've had slight issues with it that might be growing pains for a new...

    Anybody grilling?

I had a special request from a couple of people to cook ribs for their super bowl guests. They're having a couple people over so this is what I'm doing right now.

    Anybody grilling?

Here's what I'm up to at the moment. I'm pretty sure I could fit 10 or 12th racks that size on the smoker if I needed to. easily. and still have some room if I spaced it right. I almost feel bad for burning the fuel when they're so little on the smoker. almost 😁
