    For a Friend - Chicago Bears Mini-WSM

That sounds like it'll work just fine. :) If you're doing a 2-layer paint job, it's not too difficult. For mine, it was technically a 3-layer job (clear, orange, blue) and that made it really complicated for me because some parts used 3 layers and others are only 2 layers. Trying to figure out...

    For a Friend - Chicago Bears Mini-WSM

Thanks! I'm not sure if you're talking about permanently using decal for a design...but I'm wary of using decal, unless it's meant to withstand high heat. Last thing I want to deal with is melting vinyl down the side of my mini. With that said, I did a two-color paint job, like Doug did with...

    For a Friend - Chicago Bears Mini-WSM

The diffuser is 10"x1", aluminum pan. Purchased from Amazon. And I don't it will be any harder to clean than any other method. I try to wipe down every now and then, but I never fully scrub to bring back that shine.

    For a Friend - Chicago Bears Mini-WSM

Painting this was a pain, but a learning process. I had to paint in layers. Made some mistakes, but was still fun.

    For a Friend - Chicago Bears Mini-WSM

Because I cut off the lip to the steamer rack, I can rest it all the way at the bottom (upside down). I also drilled some more holes for good measure. Closeup view of the tray. Sits nice and snug. Diffuser/pan. 1" aluminum pan. Pan on the upside down modded steamer rack. Remember, the...

    For a Friend - Chicago Bears Mini-WSM

This is my 2nd mini-wsm build and I had more fun making this one than my first one (the one seen in my avatar pic). My friends are big Chicago Bears fans so I thought I'd help them let everyone know. Long story, short...I promised I'd make this for them so here it is. And I took pics to share...

Deal on Vasconia 32 quart Steamer Pot: $31.75 shipped (or better)

That "15in" is definitely an approximation. I have a vasconia pot and can confirm that it fits the smokey joe perfectly.

    Prepping ribs too early?

Ham, huh? Interesting. Again, learned something new on this board. Thx all. Very much appreciated.

    Prepping ribs too early?

I'll be smoking some baby backs on Sunday for a dinner party. Problem is I'll be a bit pressed for time as I need to prep/grill other stuff. I've read a few rib rub recipes and methods and they all pretty much say to prep an hour or two prior to the smoker. But would it be too early to prep the...

Is Santa bringing you a 14.5 if so heres something that might help

Do you foil when smoking ribs on racks? I've always done foil...because I don't know any better. I would love to be able to cook two full racks on my mini via this method. What's your method?

    Korean Bulgogi and Best Friends

I approve of your take on bulgogi. Source: I'm Korean. Is there a reason you put your hibachi over a lit kettle? Edit: Oh, and one more thing. Next time, if possible, try to use red leaf lettuce instead of romaine.
