Kicking off the NFL and a new back yard

We’ve done a little more work, took down our old railings, so can show the full family now. I keep the Genny on the deck for easy access from the kitchen.

Great looking cook, as always, and I’m very intrigued about the pears

New toy on the new patio

I posted previously about the new patio, and of course it has to have a fire pit. So we have a cowboy grill, makes a great pit, but also is designed to be a grill as well, as it comes with a grate and even a hand crank rotisserie. So last night we decided to try it out, with some basil-rubbed...

Kicking off the NFL and a new back yard

I thought about that, and it may still happen. I did some cold smoking on the Performer the other day (olive oil) and it was great having the Summit table right there. Time will tell who goes where

Shame about Trey, glad we kept JimmyG. And this is my plan to keep my stress down when they play like they did against the Bears.

Kicking off the NFL and a new back yard

Agreed 100%. And as a fellow Niners fan, being in front of my TV during the game is NOT my relaxing place, lol.

Kicking off the NFL and a new back yard

We love it here. Niners all the way for me. My son, sadly, is a Jets fan. Tried to talk him out of it when he was young, to save him some misery. But I told him, at least he’s young enough that he should still be around in 2069 for the 100th anniversary of their only SB win….

Kicking off the NFL and a new back yard

Close - my backyard overlooks Huntington Harbor. The Sound is about a two a minute walk out my front door.

Way too big for me to do, this was a professional job, probably at least 6 guys every day for three weeks. But yes, they used sand, then RCA, then the pavers with the polymeric sand. Here’s a before and after:
