Hi Len. Yes, nothing online at all. I should have been a bit more specific. This is for cold smoking, not hot, so a few bucket loads of damp shavings goes down well on a few coals. Although when I got home, the missus had picked up a bag and most of it was dust, so no good anyway.

Hi. I have just found a free source of wood shavings for smoking. Its a mixture of Oak (ok), Walnut (may be a bit strong, not sure of the mix ratio) and Tulipwood (?). Has anyone had any experience of smoking with Tulipwood? Many Thanks for your help. Derek.

Thanks Bob, Mike. Didn't have any chuck, and the weather FC wasn't looking good, so was a last minute decision to get the brisket out of the freezer on Thursday night. Still tasted very nice. Would the chuck roast have made any difference? Thanks. Derek.
