    CraigsList score - Blue Performer!

Thanks again for the help guys. Last night I disassembled the igniter tube and gave it a good cleaning. It works now! The igniter and tube were very gunky, but I think the main part of the problem was the steel wire stuffed in the tube! I looked at the owners manual on Weber.com to see if...

    CraigsList score - Blue Performer!

Thanks guys. I took the igniter out of the tube and cleaned it up. It was very gunked up. It is still not working. I didnt really have anything to clean the tube out with, I guess I need to find one of these venturi cleaning brushes.

    CraigsList score - Blue Performer!

Thanks for the tip on the grate, I will check that out. My birthday is at the end of April, and the wife was going to buy me that shiny new Performer at Lowes. Found this at just the right time! It is well worth the full retail price though. I have been searching on here about my ignitor...

    CraigsList score - Blue Performer!

Did my first craigslist search in months on Monday, and found this beauty for $85. I had been an avid searcher but grew tired of CL after never finding anything worthwhile. She is in excellent condition, only issue is the igniter for the gas starter does not work. I will give Weber a call and...

    BuckBoard Bacon Curing Temp

Thanks for the replies guys. After reading your replies I understand it must of been a reaction with oxygen. I did not try to get all of the oxygen out, didnt realize I needed to. Im not sure what overhauling it everyday means, so I guess I didnt do that either! This was my first try at...

    BuckBoard Bacon Curing Temp

Ok, I pulled my butt out to soak in water just now, it has been 10 days. While I was washing it, I noticed a few areas that were not that "gray" color, mainly in the cavity where I deboned. That area is bright red in many places. I also noticed that the gray area seems to penetrate the meat...

Started construction on my new WSM cart / wind block

I'm sure your house can take a little rain, I was teasing about what I heard over your "StokerFeed". I need to build me something like this for the WSM. One of my pet peevs is how it fills up with water everytime it rains. I'm surprised my charcoal grate hasn't completly rusted through yet...

Food looks great, and the WSM house is awesome. You better put it away though, they are predicting 60% chance of rain coming

Ok, I'm a geek! View my stokerlog live.

What was the deal with your stoker hanging, and how were you able to to continue your logging after restarting? I had a similar experience my first and only stoker cook, but I didnt find a way to continue my graph.

    BuckBoard Bacon Curing Temp

Went to take a peak at the butt this afternoon. Is it normal for the ziploc bag to be full of water at the bottom? Must be a cup or so of liquid in there.

    BuckBoard Bacon Curing Temp

Im making my first batch of High Mountain Buckboard bacon, sounds like something I have to try. I boned a 6.5lb butt, rubbed on the appropriate amount of cure, put it in a 2.5gallon ziplock bag in the beer fridge outside to wait 10 days before smoking. I read on the instructions that the...

Stoker - From outside my local network

None so far! This weekend was actually my first cook with it. I never really thought about using it away from home until I realized I needed to run to the supermarket in the middle of the cook. A light went off in my head, realizing the stoker had a web interface. I jumped on the router...
