That sounds really good. Fish tacos are awesome. I have been tossing around the idea of frying some fresh tortillas to make big puffy tacos. I would only use a small pool of oil in the middle, but might be easier and cleaner in my fry-daddy.... It would be more FUN in the discada.... That...
I wish there was video of me seeing the pic of the clams going on your pizza. Surprise, intrigue, wonder, amazement, curiosity, and extreme joy filled my soul all at once. I almost blacked out.
NICE!!!!!!
I like to fill the bottom quarter of my chimney with wood chunks and k, lump, or both above that. The wood chunk coals taste great, and are a nice heat source. The high heat indirect always makes delicious Q for me.
I have used a hair dryer many times. If you try it, plan on retiring it from actually drying hair. It will smell like smoke, no matter how far you hold it from the fire. An old dryer is a nice thing to keep around in case of emergency need of quick fire.
Neck bones finish up very nice and tender, like the meat around the bone of a pork chop. The variety is nice too. You get some tender bites, some fatty bites, some lean bites.... They are easy to grab and nibble. I love them, but I tell my wife and picky guests they are called "pork cut-ups"...
Pork neck bones are really cheap and good. You can cook them in a couple hours. Chicken thighs or legs are great, and I love turkey legs.
One of these days I'm going to throw on some crazy stuff like hearts, tongues, or kidneys. I always see them, but chicken out. My wife would hate it.
They are getting these things out all over the place. I saw some at Ace Hardware and at a local grocery store. Can't wait to use them. Looks like a great idea.
That O'Fallon pumpkin is the best I've had. Not too many people post their bad ideas. That picture of the pumpkin gooped on the ribs made me laugh. Thanks!
Should be some good beer in Forest Park this weekend!
Cool! You might need to wedge a cocktail straw between a couple of those pieces of chicken so your fire can breath. I absolutely love filling my grill to the edges. Great Job!!!!
That table is sweet. I want to build one.
I know how you feel. Had some hammy ribs a couple times. For me, I got my mojo back when I simplified. I lessened the time, money, and worry... And the rewards increased. Short simple prep, quicker cooks (foil has helped), and just having fun with friends and family. It sucks to get really...
Way to go! The thing I like best is that you stuck with your own style, and made some great ribs. Nobody will ever remember that it took a long time, but nobody will ever forget those awesome ribs you cooked. They really do look great on the pic.
Wow, nice even doneness all through. Looks like that temp works perfectly. I was thinking St. Louis area too with the Andrias. That is how I'm doing my next prime rib roast. The sliced pic is great!
Thanks Jim
I found some burlap... It is very nice to use for cleaning. Do you have a preference on the oil you are using.
I have used sunflower oil after reading some interesting articles about seasoning cast iron. It was on sale at Dollar General for 50 cents a bottle too. I also bought a...
That brisket is too juicy. Some of it dripped off my screen into my keyboard. I'll send you the bill.... Just send me some of that brisket. Wow, that looks awesome. The fat slice move blew my mind.
Your entire post makes me want to cook a brisket ASAP... Great description and photos. It...
