It's definitely all about timing. If you're out and about right before the holidays, it can't hurt to check out Lowe's and HD if you have the chance. You can sometimes find insane discounts on grilling accessories then.

I wouldn't count on Costco having that in stock now. The charcoal pallets that they have out for Labor Day Weekend are usually the last ones until they restock in spring. So when those are gone, that's it until they restock.

As far as Costco goes, you'll have to wait until spring for K-Pro since charcoal is one of their many seasonal items. They usually don't re-stock it until just before Easter Weekend.

Thanks for the heads up on Cowboy All Natural Hardwood Briquets. I'm going to Costco on Fri so will have to see if they have this. That price ending in .97 means it's a clearance item, so no guarantee that the Costco I shop at will still have any left.

Something to keep in mind with TSC is that they may not have the best price in town when it comes to propane. Case in point. The Chevron here in the middle of town (it's closer to my house than TSC) charges $3/gallon for propane, while the TSC charges $3.35/gallon. You can probably guess...
