    Weber One Touch Gold

Terry, I would think the 22.5" OTG would be enough space for 90% of your grilling. The 26.75" would be a great grill to have if your willing to part with the extra $100 to $150.

    Favorite cookbooks?

I've got to go with "Weber's way to grill" or Weber's "Charcoal Grilling the art of cooking with live fire" as my favorite dedicated grilling cookbooks. I am going to look into Cooking Illustrated Barbecue book. Actually, I draw inspiration from all of my cookbooks.

    SS Performer Red EZ

Boy, that bowl did get beat up didn't it. Looks like someone purposely beat the bottom with something. Hope someone can lend you a method to restore this. I did see someone else on this site bought a new Brick Red Performer bowl and lid from Weber to refurb a SS Performer. Good luck

    ash catcher

Hi Graham, I see no one has answered your question so I will give you the benefit of my thoughts. I do believe this can be done. I would contact Weber Customer Service to see if you can obtain the parts through them. You can also download the owners manual for the OTG to determine the parts...

    grillin' sirs, lings & romaine

Your romaine always looks so good. I tried grilling some myself after one of your previous posts. Drizzled a little EVOO, salt, pepper and a good sear. Didn't really care for it though...to bitter. Do you dress it in some other way when you serve it? TNX

    slow smoking steak

I almost always add a little smokiness to my New Yorks on my kettle by adding a small amount of hickory chips to the edge of the coals in a 2-zone setup.

    New one-touch platinum

HI Chris, No matter which Weber you choose you'll be pleased with its quality and thoughtful design. Given that, I've had the opportunity to check a Platinum out at my local TruValue and I think its a jewel. The ash catcher and tables are a must and the lid holder is really convenient. If you...

26" Performer....what a great idea. Can you imagine the table size of that puppy? You could grab a pillow and blanket and do an overnight on that thing!

Marinated JUMBO Prawns on my new Genesis 320!

Wow! what a beautiful piece of hardware! I love prawns, my favorite is to marinate 10-12's in some kind of a citrus base, with red pepper flakes for some heat then put 3 on a bamboo skewer over a medium high heat. Have fun with the new toy!

    2010 One Touch Platinum-feedback?

I was in my local Tru-Value store over the weekend and was able to make a direct comparison of a 2009 Performer lid and the lid of the 2010 Platinum sitting next to it. The Platinum lid was clearly lighter in my estimation.

    New Toy - 2009 Performer

Congratulations Bill! She's a beauty...I mean your wife. What A great gal! The Performer is a beauty as well. A sad Day, storing my grills.

Recently sold my house and am moving into an apartment this weekend for a couple of months until the house I have just purchased is ready to move into. Unfortunately, Kalamazoo county where I'm moving does not allow the use of charcoal grills or full size gas grills in apartments. They do allow...
