    Brisket: Inject or Not?

I do both and I am the only one in the house hold that prefers the injected brisket. When I inject however I just stick to beef broth. 2 cans that has been boiled down to 1can. I thinks I like that extra salt! Near as I can tell it hasn’t made any of my briskets extra juicy…

First Time Cooking Beef Ribs - advice needed, please

Ben, I have done quite a few back ribs both on the WSM and the Summit. Method and time for me is 3 hours bone side down @ 275. Foil for an hour still at 275. Rest in the cooler for an hour or more depending on dinner time. Good luck with your cook!

    Current Cajun Bandit discount code?

Tim. Been receiving emails on discounts from Cajun bandit for years. Just checked and the last email I got was from 2022 Presidents’ Day discount and “spring” discount. Nothing since, or email. May not be doing them anymore….

What kind of oak for smoking?

So I am in oak country in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada range of California. Red oak In California is coastal live oak mainly found along the coastal range. Live oaks in general (interior live oak in my neck of the woods) have a very thin bark which makes them both a good fire wood and...

    High Speed Rail Project

Yeah that is just awesome. When the wind machines were being installed in Burney, CA I had a chance to see the tower sections being hauled over hwy. 44. I thought those were big loads, but those concrete sections you showed here are impressive. Chuck how does the push truck know how to match the...

Cover for 18.5 WSM with 2 Cajun Bandit side tables?

Another vote for the 26” cover. When I added side handles and the unknown hinge I used the 26” cover on the 22WSM fits great but is about 3 inches shorter than the one that fits.

Adding front lid handle to WSM 18 (for easier hinge use)

Ditto what Timothy posted. I did that to both my 18 and 22 WSM as middle section handles. Looks really sharp. Also, noted in his post the width of the flat stock at 5/8”. My first attempt I tried 3/4 flat stock since it was easier to find. It fit thru where the handle pieces come together...

Indirect cooking with 22- and 26-inch grills

I am a huge fan of my 26. I like you use 1 chimney for I detect cooks. I actually don’t divide the coals but rather bank all coals on one side. With a drip pan on the opposite side. Food on it seems to cook same amount of time and coals on the 26 as my performer used to. While chicken is about...

    New from NorCal

Cameron Park… Ponderosa Grad here. Love the ranch! Little further north now near grass valley. I got one too. No mods Never did anything but cook on it. How you like that slow and sear. I thought about it but passed after seeing the price. Welcome to the forum!

    Cover for Summit

Same here on the OEM. Had mine since 2019 out in the weather. Funny, the other OEM covers are not as good. My performer one leaks through at the table and the one for the 26 didn’t last more than 2 years.

    GAWG keeping it clean

Hey all been out of it for awhile but with the weather here this year in NorCal I have been using the GAG a lot more for quick cooks. I have been foiling mine with decent success. However, I never totally got an answer on the 3 holes below and covering it. After foiling I have been poking holes...

Weber charcoal grill with front handle, lid hinge and side two shelves. What is the model? Anyone have one they want sell?

You may want to check out member @Gary S build of a OTP frame to accommodate a 26” kettle: https://tvwbb.com/threads/update-mods-to-the-26-75-otg.51517/ Gary had pipe bent to accommodate the larger kettle. I considered a similar build before settling on Steve Porter’s ranch frame modification...

    Magnetic LED grill lights.

Danhoo, that’s a slick setup. Since you are using on your summit you might consider the Weber Summit LED handle light. I have one on mine and it really fits the bill. The nice thing is it works off a toggle so light comes on when the lid is up and turns off when you close the lid. It’s also...

26" Bowl & Lid - ideas for legs

You may want to PM GaryS the member who built it. He would have some insight for sure and is a real nice guy. I was thinking of doing something similar before building the mini ranch and he was super helpful and sent a bunch of build pictures. Anyway just a thought. Cheers

    Smoked brisket hash

So heading out on our annual house boat trip. Wife and I have breakfast duty. Wanting to do it a little different this year so we decided to do brisket hash one morning. I have a great recipe but I need to decide since I have both in the freezer. Point or flat? Wife says point since it’s...

I did a thing. Ranch Kettle content.

Enjoy cooking on it and get used to having a crowd around you when you cook on the ranch. The Ranch can be a little tricky to get used to with the 3 daisy wheel bottom vents and the larger top vent in the Center, but you’ll figure it out after a few cooks.
