Yah, my scrap guy has sold me a couple Genesis Silver B's over the years that he had picked up elsewhere. I think I gave him $25 or $30 for them, so my guess is that he can probably scrap a grill for maybe $10 or so. Whereas, if it gets rehabbed, it becomes a $300 rehab.

Josh, I think we would all be astounded to know just how man Genesis 1000/Silver B generation grills that are dumped in land fills or crushed in salvage yards every single day. Thousands probably.

That lid should fit your gril, but you will need to use the handle and end caps with the lid.

Look for any color other than black. Black is the only color that is usually susceptible to the "weber fade". And any lid from a genesis 1000-5000, Genesis Silver/Gold/Platinum B or C or even the early Spirit E3xx grills should fit that grill. So you have lots of donor grills to get a...

Larry, I guess my main issue with them is that I use the Chargon tool to clean them and that middle rod would hinder that a bit. Otherwise, more is probably better.

Cody, I think they would be a bit too wide to fit in a Genesis Silver B or 1000 and still accept Steam N Chips smoker box. However, a guy could cut off one or two bars from one of them. Maybe for my Genesis 5???

Larry, Dave Santana does not use a center rod on his Silver B/1000 grates. He may have on your wolf set, but not on his Genesis grates.
