    How bad is this rust

I know it feels “right” to have a clean looking grill, but for me, I would just paint it with pam or bacon grease when the lid is hot and seal off the rust with seasoning from the grease. It will still cook as good as a new shiny grill, and will sport some “war” wounds.

    Spare Rib Skirt Ham

Bob, followed your advice on skirt ham but I cured all the trimmings including the bone parts. The end result for me was navy bean soup with “ham”. Sure came out good!! Thanks for the tip, I will treat all my spares trimmings this way... unless I cook them and eat for snacks~~~

My $10 thrift store bargain: Restoring a Weber Q200

Excellent clean-up especially the grate, the price was sure right in spite of having to clean it up. I have a 220 that sits in the rv, and every time we use it I really appreciate its versatility to do more than just cook a steak. Mine came with the 1/2 Q griddle which works well for breakfast...

    q setup modifications

My mods are, I use the cake cooling rack over doubled aluminum foil with slits in the foil for grease on my "naked" Q220 for pizzas and indirect roasting. "Naked", because I also removed my flip-up tables--
