    Pineapple

It's a recipe I got from one of Steve Raichlen's cook books. I found a copy of it on the web: http://kitchenencounters.typep...teven-raichlen-.html The grill was pretty hot. It just wasn't carmelizing with 2 of 3 burners on high so I turned on the third burner about half way. The pineapple was...

Brown SS Performer picked up today

Very nice looking Performer. Is that a 20 lb propane tank or the little one that Weber sold with the older performers?

what is the appeal of the performer?

It also has the ash bucket which I prefer to the pan. I have an older Platinum which has some of the benefits but without the propane assist or the storage bin.

    Pineapple

Sugar, cinnamon, ground clove and a hot rotisserie. I overcooked it a little bit but it was still good.

    Roadside Chicken

I did mine on the rotisserie. Skin was soft and sticky and tasted great. I held temperature about 300° F and I suppose that's why. Nevertheless, this recipe did not disappoint and the chicken was great!

    Weber Genesis S-320

Hi Wayne, I can't take too much credit as I had taken those pictures for my fishing buddy when he was looking for a Weber gasser. I just happened to have the pictures on hand and knew exactly what you were talking about. Weber seems to have a plethora of models and options and I don;t pretend...

    Weber Genesis S-320

Maybe this will help for those who wonder about what Wayne is asking. Here is a picture I took at the store of a new Weber with the liner. Here is my 2005 Gold B with a liner. I can't speak to what Wayne's grill should have, but I think the liner should help reduce fuel usage. I have...

    Grill for Kettle

Me three. This is a grate that was in a fire pit in the yard when we moved in. It's a perfect fit as the corners touch the bowl and I can just get the hinged grate sections open.

    Rusted leg on Performer

Nice work. Is that basket that connects the front and rear legs on right or is it upside down?

Question about using sand in the water pan

I would not be concerned about the extra weight. I would also recommend reducing the amount of water you start with on successive smokes to see how that affects temperature control. What Steve says is true, but it also overlooks that water in the pan is there to help with temperature control...
