    I am like Eric in that I got a Genesis and 1 summer later got a Performer. I use the Performer WAY more than I thought I would. My vote would be for the Performer,especially if you want to get into smoking, which doesn't lend itself to gas well.

    Unicorn/Magnum Pepper Mills

    We have the salt and pepper ones. Love the Pepper (have the magnum plus) but hate the Salt mill. The salt grinding mechanism has nylon grinding gears that keep it from rusting but also wear down very quickly. I can't recommend the pepper mills enough though.

    I ran into the same situation as you yesterday. Was cooking 2 ~6 lb flats @ 250 deg, figuring they would take about 9 hrs. Put them on at 7am figuring they would be done around 4pm and then could be placed in a cooler left in foil. Got to 165 deg at 10 am, wrapped in foil and checked them again...

    Does anyone know if the weber chimney starter would fit into the opening where the cast iron accessories go, so you wouldn't have to remove the grate on a Performer to light coals? Thanks
