    SmokeFire issues on YouTube.

I would suspect that any meetings they're having also involve a lot of finger pointing and blame avoidance. It's VERY hard to believe these problems weren't known but I suspect somebody decided to proceed with the rollout in spite of the issues. Can you imagine the conversations around the...

    Lighter cubes

Once you open a pack it's a good idea to store them in a baggie anyways. If you compromise one of the individual foil seals, the cubes will dry out in time. I had some in the camper over a winter and a few cubes shrunk and didn't burn very well. The cells that were still air tight were fine.

The best barbecue joint in every state, according to Yelp

We have a "Mexican/Asian" eatery here in Fat Wayne that offers a 20% coupon on your next bill if you leave a 5 star review online. The food sucks and they have great reviews. Go figure.....

Caulking around EX4 EX6 pellet hopper

It appears that Weber "un-tweeted" that post.

    Lighter cubes

That might be OK for a camp fire but I don't think I'd like grilling over a fire started with polyester and fabric softener.

    Alternative Replacement Cover

I got 7 years out of my first one and just replaced it with the same cover in Nov. They're VERY well made and priced right.

Weber is addressing the scam "sales" of their products

Both cards I tried using received bogus Facebook charges in Sept. It was easy enough to dispute them as I have never used Facebutt much less bought anything through the platform. At the time there wasn't anything on Google about >weber.enjoyzz.com< but now there are several reports about it...

    Midwest Stainless Grates Genesis

Old thread I know but mine came today and I'm impressed. They're fat and heavy just like me. :)

    Fire pit fun...

This in turn means that the wood below the combusting material is getting well heated before it catches fire, which in turn facilitates better and more complete combustion of the wood below when it does catch fire. And more complete combustion means less smoke. Hmm.... Pardon me for asking- Why...

The best frozen fries we've ever had

Our Kroger doesn't have the shoestring but they carry the Crinkle Cut so that's what I got. I nuked them for a couple of minutes and then put them on a pizza screen. Around 8 minutes on the gasser and they were good! Momma wants to try the steak fries next.

The best frozen fries we've ever had

Going to try some on the gasser tonight.

Wanted: box and packing materials for Genesis lid

All the carriers now charge a minimum rate depending on the box size. A 30x30x16 box through UPS will be charged at 107 pounds even empty. To make matters even worse, an empty box will get crushed when a heavier box lands on it and then be useless. Even if you were lucky enough to find a free...

    62,000 # of Beef recall

They also had a recall in March for the same strain of e. coli. https://www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsis/topics/recalls-and-public-health-alerts/recall-case-archive/archive/2019/recall-038-2019-release What worries me is that these meat recalls are for product that was sold a month or more...

So many bag sizes for Kingsford Original aka KBB

I suspect it's in part to avoid price matching since the stores will not be carrying the "exact" item.

KBB 2x20lb at Home Depot, $14.98

HD dropped their price. I looked yesterday and it was $14.98. :)

KBB 2x20lb at Home Depot, $14.98

I believe HD will honor Lowe's pricing. Walfart on the other hand, made nothing but excuses to me the last time I tried. "That's a special price." Yes, I know. "They bought a huge quantity to be able to sell it at that price" And you buy them one at a time?

    Are these prices real???

Calling BS. Tried 2 cards and both failed with the last error message "We are unable to process the request since the payment channael of the shopping website is not available." Hmm... can't spell channel correctly? Worst case is that I'll have to cancel both cards and have them re-issued.

Used WSM 18'' - Previous Owner Used Water Bowl Incorrectly

If it won't hold water, I'd line it with foil and fill it with sand. Many here use sand all the time and never use water. You need something to even out the heat and keep the fat from dripping into the coals.

Terracotta dish is dirty, can I burn off the gunk?

If it's truly carbon and not greasy crud that can support bacteria, I'd keep using it. Maybe wrapped in foil? Putting it in the grill with only the outside burners on is going to make for uneven heating and probably result in cracking.
