    They only had the display left, which was fine, but I went to lowes trying to get an even better deal by using my lowes credit card (5%) or by their lowest price guarantee. (10%) Neither of which applied in this case. I bought the display @Lowe's , so it's already assembled.

    Thank you! I just went to local cabelas to confirm price & stock. Went across street to lowes & they price matched!. Got the smoker, starter cubes & chimney for under 250.00! Unfortunately it's not for me. My buddy's wife is buying it for him for Christmas. Thanks again!

    Thanks for the advice! I thought hickory would be too strong but maybe that's not the case. I'm sure everyone's level of sensitivity is different. Gonna go get started. 1st time on wsm. I did it on propane before in 35-40* rain.

    First Brisket - 18 Pounder! Need Advice on my Planned Cook Process

    I can't really add much. What I did notice, & I'm sure someone far more knowledgeable than me will correct me if wrong, is your schedule. There may not be enough time for it to cook let alone rest for several hours. 18 pounder -you may want to figure 16 hours cook time for that monster.
