I will just leave this here

I have a LED headlamp that charges with a USB. That allows me to work in the dark. My fashion ship sailed long ago so it’s ok to look like a geek now…

    WeberQ 1200 Cart

There is a good sized air gap between the firebox and a table. The catch pan should reflect heat back toward the firebox. I used a Q2000 on the tailgate of my truck without any issues

    Slow page load times

We had cable tv for at least 55 years which the surrounding towns did not. In order to get that the cable company was given exclusive rights. The utility poles run behind the houses in most places so the work to rework is costly. I had DSL 25 years ago when I lived about a mile from the...

    Slow page load times

We have fancy commercial routers provided by work at home and the top speed package. What is lacking is old infrastructure in my city. The cable company has exclusive rights and no real competition so no one is doing a complete overhaul to fibre

Is this Alfresco 30" Grill worth it for a flip?

I got my heart and my wallet. I have a soft spot for the Webers. Other brands not so much. My scourge is MHP grills. They are built like tanks out of heavy cast aluminum and 304SS. Parts are available and they can be fixed. I can’t give away an MHP for free. No takers at any price so I end up...

I get outages during the day at home. The cable companies do their maintenance during the day in the residential areas

    WeberQ 1200 Cart

The carts are expensive relative to the cost of the grill. I was fooling around with a Q in the backyard to see if I could repurpose some other cart. Here is a thread where others added their versions Thread 'Hillbilly Q Cart' https://tvwbb.com/threads/hillbilly-q-cart.90689/

Weber Repair, Issue and Screw Replacement

Hi Dave, the ones I have had here in the US did not have a cross over tube. Yours does #10 in the diagram. General statements on blind hole firebox bolts - to remove I heat the bolts with a torch. If the bolt looks pretty bad I leave it in place and drill and tap a new hole in the same area...

Is this Alfresco 30" Grill worth it for a flip?

No different than cars. If it’s a classic it should live on. No one is calling from the grill museum for most of them

Is this Alfresco 30" Grill worth it for a flip?

I get a few high end grills every year. I either wholesale them to one of the high end flippers near me or scrap them. They need more marketing than I willing to do A couple things I learned. The cooking grid dimensions front to back are all the same across brands. Widths are different, but can...

Thinking of refurbing my Weber 900

Both of the grills can bury the thermometer needle. None of the front burners can get as hot as the east/west models

Summit 670 to 650 manifold swap

Here is a photo of an S-670 propane manifold assembly with an infrared burner valve at the end. The valves are 2 pieces - one control and one gas nozzle. The manifold tube is sandwiched between the valves using gaskets to seal the holes. The manifold tube is the same diameter for natural gas or...

Summit 670 to 650 manifold swap

The valves are not threaded in on those summits. You would have to plug a hole an unthreaded oval shaped hole on both sides of the manifold. You might be better off swapping the valves from the propane summit to yours.

I will just leave this here

The Q’s don’t cost much new with a warranty. A lot of people overlook them and think they need a Spirit at $500 plus to satisfy their gas grill needs. I can’t get more than $150 for a refurbished Q in my area. I think people get hung up on the portable marketing baloney of the Q and think it’s...

    Frying with oils.

Does the linoleic acid correlate to a flavor? The higher the value the more flavor induced? I am not real happy with Canola oil but I am not the fry cook in the house. Right now I figure I am going to die eventually so as much as I would like to put that off I do want to enjoy fried foods in...
