    SCR?

Yeah if you want a 1/10Hz (10 second period) on/off output at 12V, set the HeaterMeter output mode to "Pulse" and set the min to 100%. Then it won't do a 490Hz PWM it will run proportionally to the output requested so 65% would be on for 6.5 seconds and off for 3.5 seconds then repeat. I've...

    The LinkMeter Snapshot and YOU

Sounds more like an SD card issue. Check the Status -> Kernel Log for information about errors accessing the device or if the filesystem can't be mounted.

    Old HM Case

Oh boy one of those! I have one of those too in a box of other HeaterMeters. The thread it is from is here but most of the links are dead. If you just want a case that fits the old 4.0 HeaterMeter style with the RCA jack out the front, I think the 2line-TOP 2line-BOTTOM stls will fit EDIT: Oops...

They're also linked in the first post of this thread, so no search-fu necessary!

    The LinkMeter Snapshot and YOU

That's unexpected because the wifi hasn't changed in like 2+ years. I don't believe this is related to the snapshot at all either but more likely a bit of networking weirdness or the wrong firmware image used? All devices I've tested (Pi 3B+, Zero W, Pi 2B + Edimax, original Pi B + Edimax) all...

[SOLVED] Question on accessing HM webinterface without WiFi

You can also use any USB Mass Storage device (usb stick / flash drive) and put the wifi configuration on that. When HeaterMeter boots, it checks for a wifi config on the USB device and uses that to reconfigure the wifi. You'd need one to switch it back once you got home as well though (or use...

    The LinkMeter Snapshot and YOU

Firmware Snapshot 20201223 [lm] Add a stop_service function that performs a backup before shutting down. This means if you reboot mid-cook, the graph will have the smallest gap in it. Previously it would have up to 5 minutes missing. [lm] Perform a stash operation if the time jumps forward to...

Feature Spotlight: Automatic Database Archive (autostash)

How many times have you been so excited to eat delicious smoked meats that you've forgotten to stash / archive the database? Never? Well... I guess that's fine too, but now HeaterMeter will automatically stash databases for you! If you've never visited the Archive page, or don't have any idea...

OpenSCAD can export OFF, AMF, or 3MF models as well, do any of those work better with Fusion 360?

    The LinkMeter Snapshot and YOU

It is not related to the snapshot in any way. I can see that the blower and damper (the outputs) would move if the temperature changes, I don't need to see a video of a damper moving. All the things you do in the webui aren't run on the same device as what controls the output so there's zero...

    The LinkMeter Snapshot and YOU

What do you mean by this, like the output changes? I certainly have seen that the temperature can change by 0.5F or so when accessing the Pi connected on USB power. I've never seen that happen on one plugged into 12V though. In any case, if you're talking about the temperature changing when the...

Feature Spotlight: LidTrack Smarter Lid Mode Detection

Killed 2 Pi Zero W today :( Why?!

I have to admit that I don't understand what you're seeing there either. It is very strange that the voltage can be below ground, but even weirder that it only happens on battery power and not wall power. I would even think it would be the opposite, that the wall adapter would create weird...

The Adapt-a-Damper - Open Source Project

Wow those look so pretty! I was actually thinking about redesigning the body to take a small PCB that would take the same ethernet jack as on the HeaterMeter and have pinheader footprints for the servo and fan, along with a couple capacitors. I think the punchdown has a high chance of making a...

4 Line LCD Build - BOM and any instructions.

I don't think we ever used anything from Mouser so there wasn't any part number for it. I bought like 5x new old stock from eBay back when the 4-line mode was suggested. The ones I have, Varitronix MDL-20464B-LV-GLED4, are 20x4 but note that even in 4-line mode, HeaterMeter still only fills 16...
