I recently purchased a 26.75" Kettle to supplement my Genesis ES-330 and 22" WSM. I use all 3. Keep the gasser for those "Honey, can you grill this Flank Steak" suprises at 6:30 pm, after an 11 hour day at the office. I blame this forum and the great group of it's members for the getting bit...
Hey Gary S, wanna sell me one of those 26.75" Roti rings?? Not joking either, you really impress me with your big kettle mods. I'd seriously consider buying one of your stands too...
Thomas, reach out to Weber. Mine is off, but not by 125 degrees (10-15 deg maybe). Let them know you've run it side by side with a well calibrated thermometer, and it is WAY off. My guess is they'll be sending you a new one, free of charge.
Ordered myself a 26.75" set with the Fathers Day code and saved 15%, worked out to be about $20 off when ordered with the lift tool. Should be here Thursday this week. Just in time to give it a test drive for the weekend.
Question to the OP, any concern with the additional weight and the...
I eneded up drilling a 1" hole, level with the top vent holes. I drilled into the bottom right of the door as I have the lamp rod mod and the CB grommet on that side. I figured it would be easier to get 2 Mavericks and the Guru on the same side of the WSM on big cooks. I also just picked up a...
I only own the Mavericks, have a buddy who uses the Igrill. It is slick. For my kind of use, having the receiver sitting on the Kitchen Island, or mantle, is all I need. For those attached to cell phones, igrill may be the better bet.
I just ordered a DXII, along with a fitting to mount to my 26.75" kettle. I found some vids on youtube and that big 10CFM fan should be plenty. Will let you know as soon as i get it all installed.
DIGIQ DXII-Just pulled the trigger for my 22" WSM and 26.75" otg. Now what sz hole??
I just ordered the Guru DigiQ DXII for my 22" WSM and 26.75" Kettle. My plan is to drill the inlet next to a vent on the WSM and somewhere out of the way of the One touch cleaning blade, but below the coal...
I also ordered some peach from fruita wood, really like it with pork ribs. Interested to hear about pear, but my guess would be it is very similar in the profile/characteristics of apple wood.
I doubt that one cooker, for one cook, will stain it at all. Smoker smoke dissipates pretty quickly. It will probably smell it up a little (that may or may not matter to your buddy).
