    Poll: Propane Cost

I pay about 20 Euros ($30) to exchange an 11Kg (25 pound) bottle, or 23 Euros ($36) to exchange a 10Kg (22 pound) composite bottle. That's considered cheap around here. You can pay much more. I use composite bottles. Although they're more expensive to exchange, I like that they're lighter and...

my 22.5 WSM modifications-with pics SS door, handles, charcoal grate.

That looks really nice, and the grate is great I added a second charcoal grate to my WSM from an 18.5" kettle, and it was a huge improvement. Now I want to do something for the charcoal grate on my 22.5" kettle, so I'll probably use expanded metal for that. -Mark.

Question about the BBQ Guru Silver Bullet Smoker Jacket

I've been looking at the BBQ Guru Silver Bullet Smoker Jacket, and I understand that it used to be made of aluminized fiberglass, but is now made of silicone. What I wondered is whether the inside of the jacket is bare fibreglass, or is it also coated with silicone or aluminium? I've seen...

Be honest now, what DON'T you like about the 22" WSM?

I try to burn off as much of the crud as possible from my grates. Then I always clean them in situ with a woven mesh steel scouring pad. These work really well and remove all the hard burnt on stuff, as well as the sticky stuff, and leave the grates nice and shiny. I don't use water, other than...

    Q320 in the cold??

Thanks to the feedback, and after a lot of reading I just bought a Q320 SE. The SE is just like a regular 320, but with a black lid. I got as pretty good price, so I got a bit carried away and also bought a 22.5" Master Touch Gold. I Have only seen the MTG in Europe, but it's just an OTG with a...

    Q320 in the cold??

I've also been looking at the venting arrangements, trying to decide which would work better. I am a little concerned about the the vents on the side of the Q, but I should be able to shelter it adequately. Overall though, I just like the design of the Q320. It looks more efficient, and it's...

    DIY Infrared sear burner?

Hi, Infrared sear burners are pretty expensive, and I'm curious whether anybody's tried making one out of an infrared heater, like one of these: This model is rated at 4.2 KW (14000 BTU). Would a sear burner really be this simple, or is there something special about them to withstand fat...

    Q320 in the cold??

I probably won't be out grilling when it's -45, but you never know - When you gotta grill, you gotta grill I'll certainly grill when it's below freezing though. The Spirit 320 is only a bit more expensive than the Q320 over here, so I wondered if it would be better in cooler weather. The...

    Q320 in the cold??

Hi Everybody! I'm going to buy a new gas grill, and I was originally thinking about getting either a Spirit 320, or perhaps a Genesis, but then I read all the good things that people have had to say about the Q grills, so now I'm thining about getting a Q320. I don't need anything too fancy...
