    Top Vent Tight

Morning Did a few cooks this weekend on the new Performer and the top vent is a bit tight now. Takes a bit of effort to spin it either way. I suppose tight is better than loose but still it seems tight to the point where it's going to start removing my nice "crimson" colour over time. I read...

    Advice on first kettle purchase

Good choice - you'll not regret it. Just got a crimson Performer myself..........it was a tough colour choice between it and the copper - CONGRATS. Spend some time over in the portable grill section reading up on Smokeys. If you want to build a mini smoker, the gold is good choice. If you...

    New 3200 heating problems ?

I was not aware the "heating" issues were common in the 300/320.....I thought it was more common with the 200s? My 320 heats well, never had an issue at all.

    Value advise for CL purchase

I'd pass, myself I wouldn't pay more than $40 in it's condition. Patience and regular watching of the ads is everything with online classifieds like CL etc and being ready to go on a moments notice when the right one comes up. Patience, it will come up. Good luck.

The New Addition to the Patio

Oh she loves the grub off the grill/smoker.......she doesn't get too excited about the hardware......maybe that's more of a guy thing. I love the crimson. It was a tough choice between it and and the copper.

Well since DW does not share in my enthusiasm - I thought I would share this with a group that would. My new Performer - now what to do for the first cook .

    Another Craiglist Q100

Great price with a cart. Michael....i wonder if it's modded (black) or from another part of the world where "black" is the norm for Qs. http://www.garden4less.co.uk/weber-baby-q1200-black-stand-gas-bbq.asp

    18 1/2" or 22 1/2" ???

Lots of discussion out there debating the 2. I'm happy with my 18.5 and did have a 22.5 at one point. For me, the 18.5 is perfect. IMHO an 18.5 is fine for the average family and friends. If you tend to cook for large groups or do lots of meat in one cook I could see the 22.5. But for me it was...

Solution of Wobbly Legs on the 26

Awesome. Personally that mod in itself would make the OTG far more appealing for me if considering a Performer. Well done to the MODer.

    Opinions Please

Most of my grilling and smoking is done with charcoal these days but we needed a gasser at home as well for quick grilling nights i.e. hot dogs, burgs, sausages, etc...After using a Q120 for many years now as our camping grill, we were so impressed with it we bought a Q320 as our gasser at home...
