picked it up, he wouldn't move on price, but that's cool. 100 bucks, wood handle "P"model (1993) in pretty good shape. needs some TLC and a good (outside) wash, and some screws tightened is all and good as new......saWEEeeeet!

O.K., I figured it out. Easy Off oven cleaner in a big black garbage bag in the sunshine for a few hours. Done deal.

Just a question for you cleaning experts. I have a VERY hard to clean kettle. I have tried everything that I know of. Plastic scrapers, plastic razor blades, size 0 steel wool, greased lightening, and Dawn. Nothing will touch the burnt on gunk. This is my 7th one to re-store and the hardest by...

I was a bit leery about getting one just because of some of the problems I have read about. But, knowing cust. service, I went ahead and did get a 2012. I don't even use my bandit any more. Maybe I will for a camping smoker. LOVE the WSM !!!!!!!

wait for your Maverick and don't sweat it. I have one and they are great. During my cooks though,the WSM and the Mav are right on with each other at times, But for the most part the WSM reads about 15-20 higher. jmo
