So stoked to pickup this 18" WSM off of Craigslist- $125. I've been a site member for 14 or so years, but always have used kettles. FINALLY got a 18" bullet and can't wait to fire it up.

That's BS. If they're already manufacturing it... why can't we buy it? I understand the cost of distributing to retailers etc... but why not allow customer to buy direct???

I have one of these of similar vintage and noticed something quite odd - which looks the same on this grill. If you compare the top vent against a current 22" kettle.. or even older ones.... the holes in the vent are smaller. I have no idea why they did this and it creates issues at times when...

That's Sweet!!! Make sure Weber knows you need a charcoal grate for the old 26". The new 26" grates won't fit it - charcoal or grilling - it's been completely redesigned. Killer score.

I'd like to see a picture of the grill Gary saw - has it been verified that it was the newer OTP? If so, then should maybe notch that model as a "swing and a miss" for Weber - can't hit them all out of the park. I think the quality of the performers, one-touch silver/gold, WSM's that I've seen...

I find the SJS and SJG are simply too small for my trips these days. If I was just cooking for myself - they'd work, but usually cooking for at least 4. Also, the SJP has the ability to at least somewhat do indirect cooking for larger pieces of meat that simply would not be possible on the...

I already have one, but can't understand why Weber killed this product. Do they think it cut's into the 18" sales - I would think it would expand sales? Weber - if you're reading this - make one in blue too.

Of interest..... if you're looking at this post you probably have some level of interest in 26" Weber kettles. In my lifetime - Weber has had two basic shapes to their charcoal grills - (18" flat top - 22" ufo shape). The old 26" looks like a blown up 18" grill - dimensions wise - same flat...
