That makes sense. Thanks for getting me an answer back. I will stick with the standard fan!

The Adapt-a-Damper - Open Source Project

I built one of these a couple of years ago and I love it. I only have an 18" WSM so the 6.7CFM fan works great. I am now building a HM and Adapt-A-Damper for a friend who has just ordered a 22" WSM. I see on the first page that there is a version on Thingiverse designed for a 15CFM. My...

    Build questions

Having used my HM for about 5 years without a damper and building a damper last year, I would say go with the damper. The temps are much more stable with the damper. I built and printed an adapt-a-damper and love it!

    Small Brisket time question

Thanks guys! I will be cooking it up this weekend. I was planning on cooking it at around 225º and see what happens. I appreciate the advice. I will post back here with the results.

    Small Brisket time question

Hey guys, I am getting ready to smoke my first brisket and it is a small one (~2lb flat). Will the cooking time be significantly less? I am just trying to figure out what time to start it to have it for dinner the next day. It is probably ~2 1/4" thick, just a small cut. Thanks

HM 4.0 upgraded to use RJ45 & AdaptaDamper - Love it

I built my HM 4.0 almost 6 years ago and it has worked great but I have always wanted to add one of the damper designs. I finally have my 3D printer tuned up and printed the AdaptaDamper. Since it uses an RJ45 jack, I really wanted to figure out a way to use an RJ45 jack on the HM as well. I...

The Adapt-a-Damper - Open Source Project

Perfect! That is the info I needed. One last question. Is the capacitor needed for all of the servos or just the less expensive ones?

The Adapt-a-Damper - Open Source Project

Does it matter what voltage the capacitor is? I don't work with capacitors so I am a bit unfamiliar with how they are rated.

    HM 4.2.4 3D Printed Case

I know this is a pretty old thread but I was looking for a 4.2 Rasperry Pi B with a 4L display but haven't been able to find one. Does anyone know if one exists?

The Adapt-a-Damper - Open Source Project

Just finished printing mine in natural Esun PETG. Going to do the mod on my HM 4.0 to hook it up.

Bryan, Which toothed idlers did you use for your C-Bot?

    General 3D Printing Thread

Have you guys ever heard of or tried ASA filament. I hadn't heard of it until I started shopping for a place to buy my Bondtech QR extruder (Which is awesome BTW) recently. The cheapest place I could find them was a shop in New Mexico called filamentone.com. I was browsing their filaments and...

    General 3D Printing Thread

John, What brand do you use? I am just about out of the roll of Hatchbox PETG I am printing my C-bot parts with and Hatchbox is saying they don't expect more in until a few months from now. I love not having the fumes from ABS and having the parts be as strong as possible.

Thanks Bryan. As long as I am able to be lucky with the PETG I will stick with it. I am printing the third piece of the C-Bot list and they look pretty nice so far. Totally agree on the cantilevered designs. I saw them last night for the first time and couldn't figure out how that would be...

Hi Bryan, Do you happen to have an opinion on the 3 wheel vs 4 wheeled bracket for the C-Bot? I found this for the Y-Axis 3 wheeled bracket and this for the Z-Axis.

    General 3D Printing Thread

Thanks Bryan for the info! I printed another block late last night and I think it came out pretty nice. I have seen quite a few people having trouble getting clean PETG so I am happy to be lucky. The first change was to print the infil at .44 and the top solid at .35. It really seemed to...

The Adapt-a-Damper - Open Source Project

That is really nice looking. I know in another thread you mentioned you are building a corexy machine. What are you using now to print with? Always curious what others are using when I see really nice looking prints.

    General 3D Printing Thread

I will work those into the plan. I ran into an issue with some severe nozzle clogs while starting to print the pieces for the C-Bot. Turns out my Wade's extruder base had a crack and the hotend was tilted enough to throw everything off. I ordered a Bondtech QR and just got everything back...
