    The legs are easy just go to Home Depot and get some 1-1/2" aluminum flat stock and bend it. Real cheap.

    A longer burn process for kettles

    I used regular old red bricks that had holes in them then wrapped in foil. I think bricks get a lot hotter when they dry them then they get in a kettle.

    Larry I have some chips on my old Weber so went to Advance Auto and found this metal filler that can be sanded. It's good to 2400 degrees also high heat paint to 1200. I'm gonna have the brightest Weber on the planet earth. They do have other colors. It's high heat not engine paint. Good luck.

    I own three WSM's and here's my first smoke on the 22.5" kettle. It did a great job.Great cooker to start with at a good price.

    Me I've seen 10 year old WSM's that were kept outside uncovered and still look real good. Me I wouldn't do it I keep it uncovered but in the garage.

    Yep it's time. Great smoke it was. I'll do this again for sure.All in all it kept about a 240 degree temp average. A tad more tendinging than I'm used to with the WSM. bUT IT WORKED.

    Took them off at 4 hours and 40 min. Perfect to say the least. Kettle did good! Sauced and ready to eat.
