Keeping pulled pork warm for a birthday party

A good friend's daughter is turning 1, and I have been asked to smoke 4 butts for the birthday party. My only concern is keeping the pulled pork warm and moist after it has been pulled and ready to be served. In my minds eye, I would like to pull it as needed, so as to reduce the time from its...

    British Blue

Great looking build, I love the color! You're going to love the mini, with mine, cooking a 7lb-9lb butt, @250°-260°, I can easily get 12 hours on a full lad of charcoal. They're great little smokers that are so simple and easy to use. Good luck, I hope you love yours as much as I love mine. Tim

Have you heard of an Orion Cooker / Smoker

Kind of a small following, but those that have them really like them. One of the families we camp with has one. He smokes Boston butts for the group while we're down there every year. Very simple to use, and cooks really fast. I think the Orion is really affected by wind, more so than other...

    Hamburgers Hotdogs on Homemade buns

Joe, the only problem I see, is that you've set the bar awfully high on your first attempt!! Those buns look spot on perfect! Great job, thanks for sharing the recipe. Tim

getting ready for spring - lawn care, pre-emergent and fertilizer

I just wish I could walk in my yard right now.....almost an inch of rain per week for the last 2 months has my yard feeling more like a sponge than grass. I have heard that you need fresh seed, but I personally have not heard of fertilizer going stale. Tim

    Smokin cheese on a gasser

John, I tried my hand at smoking cheers for the first time Momday night (2/15/21) after I got home from work. The process was almost too easy! As far as keeping the tube lit, I would be sure you have enough burning pellets before you blow it out and place it in the WSM. As far as overkill, I...

    Stuffed chicken breast

The entire earl looks great, but that chicken looks fabulous! I'm with Darryl, I'd like to know what you stuffed the breast with. We picked up a pack of chicken breasts last week, and this post really has me wanting to try this! Thanks, Tim

Whole gator on a Ranch Kettle

You just won the Internet!!! I have a million questions, how long was the cook, and at what temps? How many people did that feed, and how often have you done this??? And I thought I was upping my game when I mastered a skillet cookie cake ha ha ha... Great post, thanks for sharing, Tim

Weber says something big is coming

Call me negative, but I would have thought the good folks at Weber would have fixed the many problems with their pellet grills before launching something new. Tim

    Q-customization

Ha ha ha, I love it! Now the question is; are you going to change the paint to match the different helmet the football team wears each week, or maybe finish the rest of the lid with the pattern on the basketball court!?!? Now that would be some NEXT LEVEL TALENT right There!! Great Job Case, I...

Wife wanted to get me a smokefire for my birthday, and then saw the reviews...

My wife and sons surprised me with a Traeger for Christmas this year. Said they bought it for me because they knew i would like one, but I would never buy one for myself. I honestly felt guilty the first time I used it, since it was the first time I had smoked or grilled something in over 15...

    Shotgun Advice

I recently bought a Black Aces pro series bull pup. Semiauto with 2 5 round magazines. It can handle 2 3/4"& 3" shells, and cycles everything smoothly, very compact, and very early to maneuver. https://blackacestactical.com/product/pro-series-bullpup-semiautomatic/

    The Humor Thread

The coyote is a great white shark on land. They'll eat everything from a cricket to an elk. We live in out in the country, and have them all around our house. We have no problem removing them when the opportunity presents itself.... Tim

    Spotted at Costco today

Wow, learn something new every day! I had never heard the term "shiners" until now as well....looks like you're paying for a lot of bone, kinda like a cowboy ribeye. By those measures, a beef rib bone must be some of the most expensive bones available!!! Tim
