Anyone else notice that their injection is being pushed out when you apply rub and leave it to sit overnight? I'm unsure if it is just my technique but I've noticed that when I inject/rub and leave to sit over night the bottom of the pan has wayy more injection vs when I first...
I emailed Costco once about this very thing when I stopped seeing them at my local. While I can't recall the exact reply but they did stated they would review the demand for them and speak with the buyer. Well, about a month later I started to see them again - picked up 2! :)

Alpha grillers one. It works well, but just takes a small bit of time (4-7 seconds). I still plan to get a Thermapen at some point tho.
It happens, it took my unit more cooks than 2 to get it though. I've left mine alone as it doesn't bother me too much but I'm sure it will at some point. I'd not add more lard to it but try and clean the lips with warm water and soap or some simple green, or vinegar.
If you use a marinade it does, my last run I tore foil paper and placed it at the bottom, helped some.

Nice! I used a buffalo sauce and lemon pepper marinade last few runs, may try a dry run next time.
I went ahead and replaced the smaller sized grate with the same size as the top one (20'' iirc) and just went to my local home depot to get it. Can't recall if it's SS but I think it is, may be wrong on that part tho.

You could use some joint sealer to seal up those joints but I'd still say, yes, you need one... : p
