    Do you guys not wear ppe when grinding or sanding painted parts? At work, I have to send a lot of materials for hazmat testing and any kind of coating usually comes back as containing lead. Oil based ones usually contain lots of it.

    Lp grills are generally designed to operate at 11" wc. 10psi = 270"wc. Basically accident waiting to happen. I'll let Larry do the scolding lol...

    The twin valve looks to be off the shelf but the part with the orifice and aluminum tubing look proprietary. One of the aluminum tubes look damaged in the photos. You might be able to replace it with new aluminum tubing. Ask a gas fitter.

    The gas line? Those type of old grills with h-style burners usually have a small gas valve/manifold assembly that bolts onto the front panel by two screws. The lp regulator male flare fitting is in the middle. There's no gas lines to plumb when moving the entire firebox/front panel assembly...

    Yes, the home depot version had removable front door and cast iron gbs grates. Not sure where the seller got one with stainless gbs grates. Maybe added later? BTW, anyone know why weber brought back this style of Spirit grills? I noticed a lot of retailers are selling a new version of this...

    I just looked up the cost of 0.5" titanium rods, and it looks like the going price is $50-$55 per 12". Assuming that's correct, the metal value of those grates is around $2500.

    Hard to say, but titanium is used in implants. I personally wouldn't use it.

    That's awful. Looks like he just sprayed paint on everything inside and out. Even the wood got a treatment of black spray paint? He also deleted a row of flavorizer bars.

    What type of stainless did broilmaster use for the bow tie burner? If it's not 304ss, I wouldn't feel bad using a universal h burner to replace it. Also check out the Broil King infinity burner. It's a similar shape and sells for around $50.

    IMO, it's not worth a ton. New ones are $59canadian pesos. It's just a 13" pizza stone that fits on their gourmet grate system. There really isn't any benefit of having the weber stone vs a generic 13" pizza stone. I can put a generic 13" stone on top of my grates and it'll do the same job...
