I will just leave this here

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/909180383172350/?ref=search&referral_code=undefined For people that like to collect rare grills, here's a Phoenix Crosley grill for $30. Also spotted on marketplace is this BK Signet firebox that's severely rusted through. How did this happen? Up...

    Weber Genesis Rotisserie

Instead of using a chopping board, I use a small roasting pan because it contains drippings from ending up on the floor or counter. The same pan is also used for more than one stage of prep/cooking. I start by trussing the chicken on the pan, then with the chicken still on the pan, i insert...

    Genesis II vs Napoleon Prestige

A lot of people here seem to really hate the build quality of the newer generation of Webers, but I wouldn't say Napoleon is the answer to all your Weber grievances either. Of the North American brands like Weber, Napoleon, and Broil King, I think they all cook well, but build quality varies...

Im probably too late...but big discounts at Home Depot!!!

I remember years ago I was at a home depot and they had a pile of returned grills lined up for appraisal. They told me they had a guy come in from the area office to write off/mark down any sellable ones. Any used returned grills were automatically sent to the crusher. They wouldn't sell...

Calling Larry......Calling Larry........regulator class is in session

The regulator assembly consists of a bunch of off the shelf parts assembled together by a manufacturer and marketed as a single product. The hose is one of those off the shelf parts and is not specific to bbq grill regulator assemblies. The 1" wc rating on the hose is the max rating of the...

    Stainless Side Tables

https://www.kaon.com.au/bbq-stainless-steel-side-tables-to-suit-weber-baby~96 Someone made stainless side tables for the Baby Q. They aren't cheap and I don't need them, but they do look pretty sturdy.

    Thermal Images of My Q1200

It was cold, but not that cold. The one I was using has two gain levels. To measure high temps, it needs to be set to low gain to measure from 302F to 1022F. But in low gain mode, anything outside of that window is an erroneous number. Anyway, it wasn't actually -17F.

    Thermal Images of My Q1200

Yes, I thought of that and actually did try it but the flame tamer didnt cool down fast enough. It has quite a bit of thermal mass. Ideally, it would be nice to be able to manually set the temperature scale but this imager doesn't have that option. It's a budget model with a 256x192 sensor but...

    Thermal Images of My Q1200

Yes, it's not perfect but well within reason. BTW, I wasn't complaining. I just thought you guys might be interested in seeing the heat pattern. The hot spot on the right side is common on the Q's, but the image let's you see how big it is. I can probably get the temperature more even if I...

    Thermal Images of My Q1200

I recently got my hands on a thermal imaging camera and thought it would be interesting to use it to check out the heat distribution of my grills. Here's a couple quick photos I took of my Q1200. It's winter right now and I also had burger patties to grill, so the photos were taken quickly...

    Worst Weber Ever?

I agree, the warped firebox damage looks like it was caused by a fire. Anyone think there are more grease fires nowadays caused by the recent popularity of reverse searing? If the grill is even slightly dirty, and the owner cranks it on high then walks away, the internal temperature can exceed...

    Worst Weber Ever?

Gotta wonder if the tenants put in a whole bag of charcoal, let it get roaring hot, then had no way of reducing the temperature since gas grills don't have any way of reducing combustion air flow.

    Green with envy

I bought the same color q1200 new last year for the same reason. Used prices are stupid high and most used ones are the q1xx's in the ugly titanium color. Spray paint up here is also expensive, so it wasn't worth cleaning/repainting a used one either.

    BOLO

No interesting used grills showed up for sale here, but I noticed there were some good deals in stores. I picked up a new Weber Q cart for $53cad (around $40usd). Stores here typically never discount them and I haven't had any sucess eyeing craplist for these either. I also saw a store...

Weber Spirit E-310 issues - HELP!

Rotate the burners around. Does the problem follow the burner? As for delayed ignition, does it light instantly with a BBQ lighter?
