Believe it or not a combination of corn flakes, total cereal flakes, garlic powder, onion powder and a tad of kickin chicken. With a mustard binder. Total ground to a fine crush, corn flakes just a lite crush.
I hear ya Larry. I just got the bill for Barbs half hour air med helicopter ride down to St. Jude's in Phoenix. Which is a Cardiac arresting $42,000 and I have no idea yet if the insurance covers any of it.
The lousy part is the ride was totally not necessary. She was released from St. Jude's...
Also agree with Steve, after 26 years our Gen 2000 has only had the FB's replaced and that was with RCplannebuyers SS ones. Expensive but forever and the last ones I'll have to buy. I upgraded the porcelain grates to solid cast iron when I bought the grill. I also have a set of new burners I...
Only the Gen 2000 andE320 are on the covered patio.
The rest are on Weber Blvd. covered of course and the black performer and the WSM are gone replaced by the Camp Chef and the gen 2.
Wow! Josh that looks exactly like the green LX1000 Barb and I bought new in 1998 in Lake Forest CA. From an Ace hardware of all places. I also still have the original recipes and owner's manual. As you saw it's now a 2000 with an added right flip up shelf.
Funny your wife loves it as mine loves...
The sun as you know is brutal down in Phoenix. I was lucky when I got the gen 2 from Glendale (right next door to Phoenix). The son of the original owner told me that it was always covered and under a solid patio cover, plus hardly ever used. The only thing that was shot was the wood really...
We have 8 grills. The two primary ones are a NG E320 sidewinder and a gen 1000, now a 2000 we bought new in 1998.
The E320 is great because it never runs out of gas. Big Plus!
The gen 2000 is a work horse with the deep box great for Roti work too.
Both have required very little maintenance over...
Very nice for sure. Barb and I still have our 1998 LX1000 now modified to a 2000 we bought new. When I restored it I made it back into the work horse it is. Barb and I and three teenagers used the heck out of that grill. Next to our E320 sidewinder it gets the most use out of the other six...
Barb was at Safeway and they had pork ribs marked down. She picked up a rack of Pork loin Extra meaty Back Ribs.
I Figured after looking at the package when it said 6.02Lbs I would have to trim it out. Well when I opened up it was already trimmed out St Louis style.
I've never cooked a single...
If you work at it and get as much off as you, can it will fit. Barb and I stuffed a gen 2000 and a gen 1000 frame into to her Santa Fe that we picked up in Phoenix.
Worst part was listening to all of it rattle going home.
Timothy, nice cook, looks great.
Only way I'll do my once a year brisket. Although Barb says no more brisket till the last one is gone. Might be awhile for that to happen. :(
Looks great Wilmer. KFC is one of Barbs and my favorites. So many different ways to make it. Our Jumbo Joe is pretty well dedicated to doing those. We always watch for chicken thighs on sale. This week had bone in skin on for $.97lb.
Now have 30 in the freezer in four packs just waiting.
Glad to be of assistance. :)
We will be staying with my daughter in Surprise in August for a few days for her birthday, ought to be nice and toasty by then. Really hot up here too.
Being 76, the performer and 22 kettle doesn't get much use as we just don't cook large enough meals anymore.
Really like our NG E320 side winder. It's great for quick cooks and keeping the heat out of the house during the summer. Plus, that gas tank that never runs out is a big plus too.
Next up would be our Gen1000LX deep box converted to a gen 2000 which we've had since 1998 when we bought it new...
Due to my meds, I can only be out in the direct sun for a short period of time. So I decided to do some KFC on the Jumbo Joe with the vortex. WRONG idea! 103 not a hint of a breeze and no shade. About one minute into the prep, I was hauling my butt back into the nice A/C house.
Barb made a great...
Received mine yesterday. Bought two sets for $18.33 they are heavy suckers and like Jon said there are probably better ones out there, but for $9.00 and change for two sets each, sure can't beat that.
One for my gen 2000 when needed and one for the gen 2 when needed.
