Stainless Two-toned Red, $60, Atlanta GA (Lilburn)

Look like it's already claimed, Jim. Tried to get dibs on it shortly after I posted the ad (which had only been posted 2 hrs at the time), but probably should have been securing it myself....................as if I would ever use it. :)

Stainless Two-toned Red, $60, Atlanta GA (Lilburn)

Probably some competition for this one. Better hurry http://atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/hsh/4907319464.html

    Dilemma ?!

Dilemma? That's not a dilemma - that's called being a member of this board. Get it!

    Performer Deluxe on Amazon

I'd be shocked if it were that deep in color and that glossy. Weber is notorious for exaggerating their colors in promo pics and artistry renderings, but the actual color turns out to be not quite as deep and/or the finish more satin. Beautiful crimson color though - at least the pic is. :)

    Placement of Clay Saucer

This may be overkill, but I double-foil the water pan by default; then double-foil the clay saucer, at least on the concave side. Heavy duty foil, of course.

    Maverick ET 733 $50

Of course you'd want to link to Amazon via TVWBB so this site gets something as well.

    My search has ended

All that for only $200, when the new gas-assist Performer ALONE costs twice that, is a steal. Cover plus CI grate would set you back $500+ for a new setup ------- and not cook one bit better.

Weber 26.75" OTG New in Box for $150 near Seattle

In some HD stores they were clearanced. This is likely one of them.

    Performer Deluxe on Amazon

I see the same price as you do ($454.00) for copper Deluxe model 15502001. If you can do without gas assist you can save 50 bucks ($404 for Copper Model 15402001). Being a cheapie who's gotten basically all my grills used, I'm overwhelmed by the new Weber Performer prices. I got a 3 year old...

home depot sale - $75 performer, $20 one touch sliver

Got a couple sets of Weber 7403 charcoal baskets for $7.49 each - basically half price. Not a 'Deal of the Decade', but this is an item that has many useful BBQ applications and never goes on sale.

Got a CL find after years of searching

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat....??????? Pure highway robbery - you should be ashamed! Just kidding, of course. GREAT find, and a heck of a deal!

    14.5 vs 18.5

From what I've read so far, from both a capacity and length-of-cook perspective, it doesn't sound like there's much that the 14.5 does that can't be done fairly easily on my Performer (where I can easily get 8-9 hours on a single charcoal load for smoking, do "super ultra" high heat cooks, and...

Local Home Depot has Weber 26.5 for $225.00

Wow! Thanks for convincing me to stay in 'The States'. :) I bought a brand new 26.75 on clearance a couple years ago, and added Craycort grates and the cover. And have <$400 tied up in the whole thing.

    14.5 vs 18.5

Between the two, the 18.5 without question. It is the perfect WSM for the person who may only need the capacity of the 14.5 90% of the time, but the other 10% will more than make up for the extra price difference over time. Dwain puts it simply and accurately: You can put less food on but you...

    A little disapointed in Weber

Mickey your point is valid - I went to Academy Sports and bought the Brinkmann 2-gallon water pan. For me it was a 15 minute drive and a 5 dollar/2 minute mod. Done. If you can convince or prove to Weber that there are a more than just one, two or a handful of people who REALLY want a...

    Going bigger???

Based on that setup, and the amount of food he was probably managing at once, I can't say I blame him. Though that's an awesome setup, from a food management perspective that's a nightmare compared to a large custom offset. Offset would likely have one door for food management, one for fuel...

    A new Weber grill?

Probably delayed due to the excessive demand for Christmas. Fulfillment centers should get caught up soon, now that New Years' is just a few hours away (or already here in some parts of the world).

Char Broil cast iron kettle grates on clearance at Academy Sports & Outdoors $9.88

That's an outstanding price for CI! I have and use these grates on my Performer. It's really a no-brainer, given the replacement plated grates cost twice this. The center insert works perfectly in the new Jumbo Joe (BGE & other 18.5-inch grated kamados as well).

    Going bigger???

That's subjective, therefore there's no "right" answer - only people's opinions based on their individual experiences, needs, etc.

    Going bigger???

I would guess offset or custom. There are MANY bigger options.
