    Fire that baby up and stick a hunk of meat in there. It will burn hot the first few times, but will settle down as the GUNK builds up. I can't have my smoker going without having meat in there. :wsm:

    Mike, I use the Vasconia 32 qt pot from Amazon. They come with the plastic handles attached. They are great insulating against the heat from the pot. Well worth it. If you look at the pics on Amazon, they do not show the handles, but each one I ordered had them. I just noticed that the price...

    I used die cut decals instead of tape. I've found that it's best to remove them while the paint is still wet or the paint will start to dry and peeling can be difficult. I paint....peel.....clear seal. :cool:

    I've had really good success with the VHT Engine Paints. So far, no issues with discoloration or chipping. You can also use some primer as a base coat. Make sure you finish with a VHT clear coat as well. The only issue I have had is the with the top vent. The ones I painted turn a little dark...

    I do not know him. I have been to Rick's a few times as they have a nice bar. :) I was told that he no longer works there and has moved to Austin. Not sure what happened.
