    Gas knobs

Does anyone know if Weber warranty covers the gas knobs? The sun has damaged the knobs on my grill.

What is the best Weber to restore?

The wire rack will work but will not work with the doors without some mods. Side and back are not impacted. I had the same issue on my remote and I fabricated a shelf from cedar fence slats and aluminum angle iron.

    Another redhead

K, this is me talking you out of it. The handle is not original and it looks like it is missing the swing up table. Probably needs new grates, burners and flavorizer bars. That is the deep firebox so it will require additional bars. According to the owner it will need the tray that the drip...

2005 Genesis silver c rehab help

Thanks for the comments. I don't own a table saw so making thin slats would have been a challenge with a circular saw. I needs all my fingers!

2005 Genesis silver c rehab help

Here is a picture of my bottom accessory panel. I used aluminum angle iron ($11) for the front and back supports and cedar fence slats ($3.69 x2). Rough sanded with 60 grit and 3 coats valspar urethane (no stain). I'm very pleased with the results. I've also included a picture of the...

    Genesis Silver B Rehab underway.

You're lucky, the bottom accessory panel is less than $40. The panel for my rehab of silver C is over $120!

New decade old Summit vs. New Genesis/Genesis II

My $10 Genesis silver also had a rusted out bottom assembly. Much worse than yours. A cheaper alternative would be the wire racks used on the Genesis silver from 2004 or older. The only issue is not having the notches for the doors. I'm going to use some aluminum angle iron for the front and...

    Grill grate preference

I have been using porcelain coated cast iron in my gasser for years but was looking into aftermarket stainless grates. What are the pros and cons of the stainless grates over the PC/CI? When purchasing the SS grates should I be looking for a particular grade of SS (304, 316, etc)?

    Korean BBQ on WSM

Do you have a Koream market in your area? In the states there is an HMart that sells Korean cookware. I'm sure you can find something similar.

    WTB 22.5 ash bowl

Looking to see if anyone has an extra bowl for sale. I have a 22.5 platinum that I picked up and it didn't have the bowl. It has the top part of the assembly, just need the bowl. To be clear I'm not looking for the ash dish, looking for the bowl.

2005 Genesis silver c rehab help

Not sure if you took a look at the photo. There is nothing on that bottom tray that is salvageable. I could use a wire rack that was used in the earlier Genesis gold models but it will be close to $60 with shipping. I've been inspired by other who have used cedar fence panels and will...

    Genesis Gold

Nice find. The decision to keep both is dependent on need/want. Not sure if you need grates but I saw aftermarket burner tubes for $19 on Amazon and 18 gauge SS flavorizer bars for $30. Grates would probably run another $50. You could sell the silver to purchase what you need for the gold...

2005 Genesis silver c rehab help

I picked up an abused Genesis silver c yesterday for $10. Needed a major cleaning for sure. The good: The porcelain coated grates are in excellent but greasy condition. The plastic work surfaces are also in great condition. Side burner in great condition Minimal rust on the frame. The bad...
