    Mini Run Time

I can cook for 13+ hours on a single basket of charcoal (Kingsford Blue) with temps from 225-245 with enough charcoal left for 2 more hours. A 10lb butt usually takes 13-13.5 hours. Check out my thread (http://tvwbb.com/showthread.php?37044-My-Mini-WSM). I use a 10' x 24" roll of Reflectex...

Insulating pics your WSM, mini etc....

I made the top to protect from rain showers. The grate grabber tool is just an old three prong hand hoe with a 8" bolt threaded through the handle. The grate grabber has been invaluable for muti rack cooks.

Reflectex works great as a insulator/wind break. Been using it for about a year now for my mini wsm. Have achieved 14 hour cook time at 250 degrees on one basket of charcoal when using it. Link to my post using reflectex. http://tvwbb.com/showthread.php?37044-My-Mini-WSM/page2

    My Jumbo Joe

Yes, picked up the grate also for less than $5. I grew up in Longmont, CO, so I am a life long Broncos fan (hence the retro logo t-shirts). Have lived in Texas for 31 years and my wife is a die hard Cowboys fan. It kills her that our children (born and raised in Texas) are Broncos fans.

How I keep the mini wsm above 300 degrees. Smoked some wings for lunch today. My mini wsm has 3 grates. The top grate is right below the top of the mini body. Put wings or chicken on the lower 2 grates. Then I use the steamer pot insert in the top grate location. Sometimes cover the steamer...

Re-purposed a small shopping cart into a mobile smoking cart. Now I can just roll everything in and out of the garage. The trash can buggy corded to the back holds charcoal.

I used expanded sheet metal ( http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1...1#.UQsF0Wc56dc ) to build the basket. For the bottom, I just cut a circular piece of the expanded sheet metal to the inside diameter of the charcoal grate and wired it to the charcoal grate. For the sides, I cut three 12" by 3...

Over night cook of a 9.8 lbs pork butt. Total cook time 13 hours (avg. cooking temp. 240 degrees) to 197 degrees on 1 basket of charcoal. The photo shows how much charcoal is left in the basket. I think it would easily cook another 1-2 hours, reaching 14-15 hours on 1 basket of charcoal.
