The webstore at www.microdamper.com is now open. Sorry for the delays guys I've had all sorts of problems in the last few months that have hindered my ability to get back to this. Not sure if and when I'll get back to printing cases, but DIY MicroDamper kits will be available.
Announcement for the shop: I just lost stock of servos and I'm going to be leaving town for a week in a couple days so I'm going to take the webstore offline until I return to town.
If it causes your HM to crash, it is most likely that you have short somewhere, or like Bryan said your servo is jammed up - BUT, I check every servo for functionality before they are shipped out so I doubt that's your problem.
Sorry I haven't been around much guys! I've been crazy crazy busy with work - in and out of town constantly - the free time I did have I spent with my wife which was fairly minimum. Work is now dying down and I should be at home for the foreseeable future which means I will be printing...
It's tough enough trying to get an offset running off of charcoal in a charcoal basket to operate smoothly, putting in fresh pieces of wood every 45 minutes is not conducive to great temperature control.
If you have to tinker with your pit so much that you can't take a whiz without things going...
I'm sorry, why are you trying to use a controller on your pit when you need to feed it splits every 45 minutes? I've never run a controller on my stickburner and I don't plan to because a stick burner requires wood so often there's no need for a controller.
Your food won't know any difference at 10-15 degrees. Hell your home oven is most likely 20-30 degrees or more and it cooks just fine. It's all about knowing when the food is done
