    stoker on electric smoker

Hey Steve, Any plans for the cut off blower? I could take it off your hands. I think I got mine too hot. Roger

Ever use Royal Oak Natural wood Charcoal?

If it's the "made in the USA" lump, it's one of the best. Don't know how it works on WSM cause I don't own one. Works great on a kamado. Roger

    Bad Stoker experience

Sorry to hear of your problems with the Stoker. If you decide to get rid of the stoker, I might be interested in purchasing it from you. Roger

    Non-WSM Stoker Question (sorry)

I drilled a ~1/4" diameter ( enough room for the pit probe and the wire diameter: I don't remember the exact size) hole in the back on the lower section (not lid). I feed the probes in 1 at a time. Then plug the hole with some foil. I would like to make a bushing with a high temp silicone sleeve...

    Bad Stoker experience

Christine, Try hooking up the stoker's Ethernet connection. I'm curious to see the status page. This will show which probe is associated to the blower. Maybe you can post a screen shot here. You can also telnet to the stoker and it will feed data back through the connection. This data would...

    Bad Stoker experience

Did you associate the blower with the pit probe? The stoker needs to know which probe is to be used to control the fan. It sounds like there was no association. IMHO the stoker system is a great value. It's not a simple on/off switch. Roger

Stokerlog only works in HTTP mode

Thanks Amir, You've written a very useful and elegant program. The availability of your program was one of the deciding factors in purchasing the stoker. I now have it hooked up to a linksys wrt54gl router running DD-WRT in client bridge mode. Now, I must find something to smoke. Roger

Stokerlog only works in HTTP mode

Looks like the updated firmware did the trick. I only tested it on my workbench, but everything appears to be working. Thanks Amir. I'm looking forward to hooking it up to my Kamado. Now on to the wireless setup. Roger

Stokerlog only works in HTTP mode

The firmware revision is: 2.1.287 I tried it with a crossover cable, bypassing the router with the same result. Thanks again for your help. Roger

Stokerlog only works in HTTP mode

Thanks for replying Amir, Here is the telnet input file capture. This capture is one without the fan control as it is too long of a string to put in. I'm holding the probe between my fingers to heat it up. You can see the temp increasing in the telnet data, but not the log data which matches...

Stokerlog only works in HTTP mode

Hi All, I tried this topic in the version 5 thread, but no luck. Stokerlog seems to be picking up a constant value for the temperature. I can telnet to it and log probe data which shows accurate temperature changes. The data which is being collected by stokerlog appears to be ambient temp...
