Somebody had a really hot fire in this kettle the wood handles got a little burnt and the inside of the kettle has a layer of scorched on layer of lava that I'm having a hard time getting off the kettle. Any ideas would be very APPRECIATED!

Hey Bill I had the same problem! I fixed mine by punching out the internal square nuts in the square tubes and running 1/8" stainless all-thread all the way through the tubes and attaching with stainless lock nuts. Be sure to get the rust off! I sanded mine out and hit it with some satin finish...

Tim, It has been clinically proven that this grill with the "Coca Cola" label can actually be prone to catastphic failures of the muffler bearings and/or the multiplex demodulator. Better send it to me to check it out first!

Go to lowes and get the finest steel wool they have. Use it wet and work with the "grain" if you will of the steel.

Angel, Don't foget that there is an air intake on the tube that transports the propane to the kettle. I found that foiling it helped drop air flow and temps. Also have had the same isuue with one side of coals not burning try turning your cooking grates 90 degrees and do the same with charcoal...
