Attempting my first Pulled Pork WSCG

On my Flickr? If so, it's Southsea Pier, it's in Portsmouth, about 50 or so miles West of Brighton. Have you been to Brighton Matty? We have a few piers on the South coast

Slow N Sear Low Profile for WSCG overkill or a worthy upgrade?

So, I see today that Adrenaline have launched the SnS for the WSCG in a low profile version. Looking to get the most out of my grill & wondered if any of you are waiting for the new SnS for your WSCG based upon your previous experience with one. Will it bring anything to the grill or would you...

Attempting my first Pulled Pork WSCG

Thanks for the comments folks, the Summit's a nice grill for sure & now I have a pair...lol the WSCG & E-670. I'd only cooked Mince Pies (at Christmas) on the Charcoal & have pretty much zero experience with Charcoal. I didn't have that long to cook Kristof as we had the son & his family round...

Attempting my first Pulled Pork WSCG

Turned out great, 5.5 hours total cook. 4 hours @ a steady 150 deg C 1 hour in tray with cup of apple juice & covered Final half hour back on the grill uncovered 15 minutes rest (wrapped in foil) Tasted delicious, I'll definitely be doing it again! Used about 3kg of Weber briquettes.

    My thoughts on Weber's Charcoal

I've got 6 ~18lb equivalent bags (8kg is the biggest they sell in the U.K.) in the garage ready for when I'm through my current bag of Weber Lump Charcoal. Here, the price is £12.99 for the 18lb equivalent so working out at £14.60 for a bag that would be your size (~9kg). That comes in at just...

    Summit 670 Rusting

Hi Mat, Thanks for getting back to me on this, I've now had the following replaced under warranty: tool holders, door handles, lid handle as the collars were peeling TBH for a Grill of this price (UK) I have to say that I'm less than impressed with the cheaply chromed components on the...

Mince Pies on the Summit Charcoal Grill

Buy a jar, maturing it yourself could be an option, but I neither have the time nor patience to troubleshoot the perfect recipe... I have made my own shortcrust Pastry, but I have to say that puff Pastry just takes Mince Pies to a whole other level...lol. For the puff pastry ones I used: 2...

Mince Pies on the Summit Charcoal Grill

"Mincemeat is a mixture of chopped dried fruit, distilled spirits and spices, and sometimes beef suet, beef, or venison. Originally, mincemeat always contained meat. Many modern recipes contain beef suet, though vegetable shortening is sometimes used in its place." I tend to use Robertsons...
