I have one that is bubbling with rust. Came from the “Fire Ring Guy”. Think it’s the same one as Bruno’s.

Yeah, I have one of the original Summit charcoal Kamado style pits. Really love it. One of the three braces at the bottom of the grill is also rusting. Was going to replace until they told me it would cost more than $40. Thanks, but no thanks.

To add fuel to the fire, finally was switching out the burn pot and pellet slide when the small burn pot grate disintegrated into three parts. That part will be here tomorrow. I worry about the day I have to start paying for this stuff.

The pit is out of the elements. Always covered and kept under the eaves. I do use an assortment of pellets, but parts that don’t come into contact with the pellets are corroding. it’s been a very rainy year here in Louisiana. Could be the excessive humidity is the culprit.

I am having to replace most everything in the pit due to rust and corrosion. Have already replaced the bracket that holds the flavor bars. Now the pellet slide and burn pot are on their last leg. Will say that Weber sent me all the new parts at no cost. My question is this. Is there anything I...

You will enjoy your SmokeFire. I think a lot of the problems people had were self-inflicted.

I contacted support a week or so ago and yesterday I got two of them delivered. Give them a sad story and I think they'll come through with a free one to have for when it does go out, and it certainly will if you use the pit a lot. Make sure that your pit is registered with them.
