Spares & Beers & Pulled Pork Pasta

Hey Jim - Glad to see Knob Creek is still THE official bourbon of Raymond Wisconsin! When it's empty come on down to Bardstown KY and we'll fill it up for you. This would be a GREAT week to do that with The Bourbon Festival starting today! Yep... most communities celebrate a fall event such...

    Favorite beverage while grilling

Sounds good to me Kevin, bourbon maybe a nice local beer or even a bit of wine. Really anything that compliments the meal being grilled that evening always works for me. I really enjoy the Weber Backyard Brew available at the Smokey Joe Bar at the Weber Restaurants. Not that it is readily...

    Favorite beverage while grilling

Hey Kevin, I've read all of the questions and answers and have enjoyed each. Thank you for taking time from your week to provide us with the great information. Grilling and a cold beverage always seems to go together in my backyard. My question is what is your favorite beverage while waiting...

    Cleaning 5 year old Genesis

I use a pressure washer and that will just about remove anything baked on and no chemicals required. After the high pressure bath I reassemble and fire up the grill and heat to very high to dry out everything.

    Weber Summit Silver B

Congrats on the Summit. I'd suggest calling Weber and asking if any of the replacement parts you're looking to purchase are being discontinued. That came up on a rebuild project of mine a few years back and I purchased some stuff and still have in the garage. It was worth it to me just for the...

Getting Started with a Restoration - Genesis Gold

I'd suggest taking the manifold off and use a straight piece of coat hanger and ream the insides of the burner tubes - kinda like a pipe cleaner. It could be a spider web inside the burner tube restricting the gas flow. Another thing I recall was I opened the tank valve too fast and that will...

The Weber Era Seems to Be Over

Hey Brian, until I can get a photo posted you can search "smokey joe lamp" or "weber toys I made" for a photo. I'm not catching on very fast with this iPad thing...

The Weber Era Seems to Be Over

You can tell by the grills I own I'm true Weber fan and will always be. I understand a global economy and Weber is competing globally. Long live their Chicago manufacturing facilities and their reputation of producing THE top of the line grills. With the backing of Chris and this website and its...

Genesis 1000, one side colder than other.

Everything is new...I'd call Weber on this one.

    Keri's Hog-Apple Baked Beans

Okay, I'll jump in since this thread keeps going. WOW THESE ARE GREAT! I made them for the first time this past weekend for a neighborhood party. There were many comments and several asked for the recipe. One friend liked them so much he's making them tonight... yes on a Monday! If you haven't...

A Craigs List find for Me! Finally!

Hey Corey, Just checking in, sounds like the project is going good. Just a thought, on my project I repainted the frame but that was the only time I've painted a Weber frame. I do suggest using 0000 steel wool on the frame to clean it up. It removes a layer of oxidation and really cleans the...

A Craigs List find for Me! Finally!

Sounds like you are well into this project. I replaced the hardware with stainless also, it wasn't necessary but gave it a nice look. Correct on the handle end not having casters but I cut the legs and added them to my grill to make it look like the new models. Again, not necessary but I was on...

A Craigs List find for Me! Finally!

Nice find Corey, I have the same year Performer without the gas assist start and did a "frame-off restoration". The first thing I would suggest is getting the schematic from the Weber site or they can also email it to you, the original manual is also available. If going the route of ordering new...
