Weber Summit Silver B

I picked up a Craigslist Weber Summit Silver B. It is a four burner model with a side burner. It has cleaned up very nicely and I am excited to grill on it this evening. Everything looks to be working very well. I do have a question though.

Is it worth it to buy the burner assemblies and flavorizer parts now even though they are not needed yet? In other words, since this is becoming an older model (from around 03-04) should I purchase parts now to have on hand? Grillparts.com seems to have everything at the most reasonable prices but it would be about a $170 investment.

Congrats on the Summit. I'd suggest calling Weber and asking if any of the replacement parts you're looking to purchase are being discontinued. That came up on a rebuild project of mine a few years back and I purchased some stuff and still have in the garage. It was worth it to me just for the piece of mind. Enjoy, you've got the top of the line grill from the top of the line grill builder!!!
