To be honest, I didn’t check the temp. I’ve done this cook so many times it’s just following a process. Chimney full of white coals, dump them, wings on for 25 min, flip them, cook another 20 min. Damn near foolproof.
One rack with Blues Hog rub and sauce, one with Spiceology Raspberry Chipotle rub and a raspberry/blackberry sauce and the last with Spiceology Korean BBQ rub and a hoisin/honey glaze. The glaze on the last two make them look almost burnt, but it’s all good under the sauce
Long time lurker, first time poster. Did some vortex wings on my kettle yesterday. Blues Hog Sweet and Sassy rub and sauced with a mixture of Blues Hog sauce and honey when done. So easy and so delicious.
