Great to find this post! I've been looking for some info / recommendations for 9mm grills for my Genesis II 435.
The link above just takes me to general search of grill parts, not the actual grills. Even when I go to the store front for QuliMetal I don't see the grills....can someone please...
I'm looking for grates for my grates for my Genesis E-435 grill. The price for new 9mm stainless is crazy expensive...I think Grill Spot is asking $450...does anyone know if there are 3rd party parts that are good quality?

Thanks for your help! I picked up the grill today and he actually had the original owners manual in the nice white binder. French part is still in its original unopened plastic .. :)
So what’s the update. Did you get the grill.?
I pick up the exact grill tomorrow with a green lid with the platinum logo and plastic handle and slats

I'm in the process of building a new Genesis ii 410. I picked up a brand new lid and fire box for free and want to start picking up the necessary parts to get it working. I don't need the stand or shelves as this will be built into an outdoor kitchen...
I thought there were some aftermarket...
Regarding the end caps, I had the same issue and found if I used paint stripper the existing paint just melted off and with a little elbow grease I managed to get things down to original aluminum..a few coats of high heat flat black paint and its been 2 years and they still look new.

Over the past year or so i've been thinking of buying a charcoal bbq....rectangular, like my old Genesis, i already have a 22" Kettle.
The problem is i can't seem to find one. I looked at the Yoder Grill 24x48, i hate the lid...
I'm curious what most people use in their smoker - briquettes or lump?
I've always stuck with briquettes in the smoker as I've thought I get a more consistent temp. Lump has too many size variations etc.

i had the same issue on a couple of old manifold from used grills. i took them all apart gave them a good clean and used some caliber grease put them back together and presto good as new. i was amazed how simple the assembly was, i had them apart in a few minutes and very easy to put back...
No I didn't wipe them down. Wish I had now. I may have to start all over again.
I still think getting them powder coated would be better
Did you guys strip the existing paint off 100%
