    Weber's Pellet Grill Future

Today I did 0-210 degrees and it took 17m. Ran at 210 for a while and then up to 600 from 210 which took another 17m. I’ve had it vary sometimes and even hover at 550 never getting higher after 30m so I just cook there. Today it was clean. I don’t clean it everytime I use it so I think maybe...

Physical Differences in EX4 and EX6

Thanks for the info. Makes me want a coffee. Do you notice any differences in how they cook? Guess the 6 uses more fuel. Please don’t repeat yourself if you’ve already posted about it. I’ll browse.

    WSF 2.0

I’d like to see the grates and flavorizer bars operate on a hinge or slid in and out so you could have easy access to the burn pot and grill floor before, during or after a cook.

    Sale at Lowe’s Home Store

It's gone now for me too. It was $599.50 yesterday, back to $1199 now???

    Sale at Lowe’s Home Store

EX6 is still $599.50 on the Lowes app (low stock). Amazing. I wish I needed a second one. Guess Lowes is getting out of the Smokefire biz. My local Lowes has no Smokefire or pellets anywhere.

    Problems with SmokeFires

Kevin, I have been following it pretty close and the issues people mention seem to be similar between the two. I have an EX6. No major issues for me before the big software update.. Then the software update bricked my original controller, so Weber quickly replaced it and I was back in...

    Common pellet cooker issues

WSF reverses on every shut down. The one time I cleaned the auger just a while back while switching from Weber pellets to LJ, it was fairly easy to vacuum everything out. Before and after below.

    Common pellet cooker issues

Yep. Even though the WSF has a short auger, and they did a lot with their shut down process to prevent this, I will vacuum the auger out every so often to clear out dust that settles. Not hard to do and the shop vac is a regular accessory around pellet cooler.

    Weber Pellets

Thanks. I’m glad the Lumberjacks worked out at basically half of Weber’s price. Dick’s in Houston area matched $8.88 per bag price from Rural King’s website. Think they were regular price of around $14 per 20# bag at Dicks.

    Weber Pellets

To your point, I’ve been using mostly Weber GM and Hickory, but in the past two weeks I picked up Lumberjack Apple and Char Hickory. Turned out some great baby back ribs and brisket with the LJ. I think the open concept with the flavorizer bars is playing a role along with the pellets.

    Amazing Ribs EX4/EX6 Review

Solid review that really captures it. I’ve had the ex6 now since mid February and agree that it makes really good food! I’m a big fan with “more than a few” cooks under my belt as well. I love how easy it dials in low and slow cooks. Cooks like my WSM plus BBQ IQ110, but even easier on start up...

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

I was searching around about searing steaks and saw someone touting the “chimney method”, so I was curious more than anything. 3-4 minutes each side with a few flips for a fairly thick ribeye and it made a great steak!

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

Still waiting for the Smokefire... this worked great for some seared ribeyes tonight!🙂 Hmmm still can’t get pic to show with the approach. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong. Here is the link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ueuy6ac9w7w20i1/IMG_4722.jpg?dl=0
